I’m currently pursuing Chemical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU) and I can say the reputation here is quite solid. • 2. The student mix here is diverse—there’s a bit of everyone. However, one thing I’ve noticed is that many view each other as competition. People tend to keep their daily activities to themselves. If they’re learning something, they won’t share it for fear that you might get ahead.
• 3. In your first year, you’ll be approached by countless societies (often with a girl to make a good impression), and you’ll see friends joining them and discussing their activities. The reality is, they don’t teach you much; it’s mostly about event management. You’ll find yourself running around managing materials and organizing events, but that’s about it.

DTU has a strong reputation for engineering, especially for B.Tech programs. I chose Chemical Engineering because I knew I wanted a tech-based career, and the course here has been manageable.
