What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from BE/B.Tech DTU??

As a student of Chemical Engineering at DTU, I've seen many of my peers land impressive jobs. The in-hand salary for graduates usually falls around 1.3 lakhs per month, which is quite decent for freshers. The highest package I heard about was 1.8 crore, which is mind-blowing! The college really prepares us well for placements, and with companies like Uber and Texas Instruments coming for recruitment, the opportunities are quite plentiful.

Completing my B.Tech from Delhi Technological University in Chemical Engineering has been great for my career. The average in-hand salary for graduates is typically around 1.2 to 1.4 lakhs per month. The highest packages can go up to 1.8 crore, but most of us settle for the average which is still pretty impressive considering the college's reputation. The placement process starts in the 7th semester, and we have good internship opportunities that help boost our profiles.

The average salary for graduates is around 7–8 lakhs. However, using average salary as a metric for judging placements can be misleading.

• A few high overseas packages in crores can skew the average upwards.
• Conversely, some students may not secure good placements due to various reasons or may choose not to participate in placements at all because they prefer higher studies.

So, it’s better to consider the median salary offered. While it’s not perfect, it’s a more reliable indicator. The median for CSE graduates is around 9–10 lakhs.

I graduated from B.Tech in Chemical Engineering at DTU, and I can say that the in-hand salary for freshers varies quite a bit. The hard truth is that securing a position in any particular company will depend on the skills you acquire during your four years in college. If you have the right skills, you will definitely find a way!
