For me, the best experience at DTU has to be the learning environment. With around 2000 students and a dedicated faculty of around 70, there's always something happening. The guest faculty, especially those from JNU, bring a wealth of knowledge that really enhances our understanding of economics. Plus, the midterm exams after just two months keep us on our toes! I appreciate how the campus has everything we need, from well-equipped classrooms to daily newspapers for staying updated, making it an all-around great place to study.

For me, the first week itself taught me a lot about the culture of DTU. You’ll find almost every kind of student here. Some are extremely serious about their studies, coding, and learning a ton, while others are a bit more carefree.

On my first day, it was a totally new experience. Seniors were hanging out of classrooms with friends, the sports complex was buzzing, and the teachers gave us a great introduction on how to navigate our classes.

As time passed, I realized the level of competition around me is on par with JEE. I even saw a girl with an AIR of 640-650 in my class who left IIT Kharagpur for Electrical Engineering.

  • Did Young's Single Slit Experiment and somehow got a perfect pattern! ????
  • Enjoyed the first class of the workshop; it was more fun than I expected.
  • Celebrated a friend's birthday at Bunkers House (those in DTU know this place!).

And many more…

All in all, the first week has been quite exciting! I miss not being in the hostel because the campus vibe at night is spot on. Anyway, happy times ahead!

I would say it's been tiring. As a day scholar, you can imagine. The first week was orientation, which was pretty boring. Met many fellow students on campus, which was nice. I already knew a couple of people from Quora who were joining DTU.

The campus is well-constructed, giving off solid college vibes. The only downside is its location (more on the outskirts and not in the heart of the city).

Academically, the teachers are good (especially the ME professor ????). The RAs aren't that great (they conduct practical classes). Classrooms at PB (Pragya Bhawan) have good infrastructure (just like schools). The lecture halls in the departments are old but way better for a peaceful nap. (step-wise)

I didn’t have high expectations from college since I knew “whatever needs to be done; is mostly on me.”

Now, as a metro guy, I travel over an hour to reach college. This journey is actually exciting. Getting late is becoming a habit.

FUN FACT: there are 15 students named “AYUSH” in the batch! :0

It's been a month now, and things are going pretty well. Don't worry; I'm doing all kinds of things possible.

If I think of anything else, I’ll add it here. I recommend checking out other answers too. ??

My best experience at DTU has definitely been participating in Engifest, the college's massive annual fest. It happens every February and attracts a lot of talent, including popular artists and actors. The energy during the fest is simply unmatched, with students from all branches coming together to celebrate. Plus, the campus is equipped with great facilities like AC classrooms and access to all types of reference books, which makes studying here a breeze. I feel fortunate to be part of such an engaging environment while pursuing my Economics degree.

Honestly, one of my best experiences at DTU has been the exposure I got through internships. The college has a good connection with various startups and established companies. I've had the chance to intern at PROBO and EDOOFA, which gave me real-world experience in marketing and data analysis. The faculty here are also impressive, with many guest professors who have extensive experience, including JNU PhD scholars. It feels great to learn from the best while preparing for a successful career in economics.
