DTU’s campus is quite extensive, and you can easily spend a whole day just exploring it. With around 2000 students and 70 teachers at the East Campus, there’s always something happening. The infrastructure is solid, and the classrooms are equipped with modern facilities. I think the campus really comes alive during our tech fests, and it’s great to see so many students from different backgrounds come together.
The campus of DTU is quite impressive! It spans about 160 acres and has everything you need. However, the downside is that some of the hostels, especially those for M.Tech and PhD students, are really terrible.
Here's what the campus offers:
DTU is packed with extracurricular activities. The farewell event is a full schedule of 5 days, which is awesome and a lot of fun! The tech fest and cultural evenings are also fantastic.
What I liked most was the environment of DTU. Although I resided outside the campus, I frequently visited in the mornings and evenings for jogging.
The DTU campus is pretty spacious! I’m on the East Campus, and there are around 2000 students from various branches and years. It feels lively with so many people around. The classes are designed well, with central AC and projectors, which makes learning a lot more comfortable. Overall, the campus has a good vibe, especially during events like Engifest, which is a huge fest that attracts a lot of attention!
Let’s first discuss DTU and NSUT.
Both institutes are excellent and well-reputed. Interestingly, NSUT (formerly DIT, then NSIT) originated from DTU (which started as DCE) in 1983. DCE/DTU was established as Delhi Polytechnic in 1942 during British India and became a degree college called Delhi College of Engineering in 1963.
Both institutes were previously affiliated with Delhi University for degree awards but are now Deemed to Universities with multiple campuses.
A large number of students has its pros and cons, but it does make the campus a bit crowded. However, the campus life at DTU is often considered more interesting than that at NSUT in some aspects.
Hostel accommodation is quite limited at both institutions.
So, you can make your own choice!
Regarding MNIT, while I don’t have personal experience, the prestige of DTU and NSUT is generally regarded as higher than that of MNIT.
All the best!!!
I would say the DTU campus is fairly large, especially with 2000 students in the East Campus alone! The environment is vibrant, and you often run into friends or classmates. The classrooms are well-maintained, and you can find all the necessary resources, like textbooks and newspapers. Plus, with events like Engifest happening every February, the campus life is pretty exciting and engaging.
