DTU is a government institution in Delhi, so the fees are quite reasonable compared to private colleges.

The fee structure is divided into 4 major installments over the years. The total fees for the 4-year BA (Hons.) Economics program is around 6 Lakhs (excluding hostel fees).

If you’re fortunate enough to secure a hostel at DTU, it will cost an additional 50K per year (including mess charges).

So, in total, you can expect to complete the course for about 8 Lakhs.

All the best!!!

If you’re looking at the BA (Hons.) Economics program at DTU, expect to spend around 3 lakh rupees in total. The breakdown is about 90,000 for each of the first two years and then 1 lakh for the final year. Compared to other colleges in Delhi, especially DU, it feels a bit steep since they charge around 15k. Plus, keep in mind that if you fail a subject, the backlog fee is 5,500, which is quite high!

The fees for the BA (Hons.) Economics program at DTU were as follows:

  • In 2015, the fee for the 1st year was Rs. 99,000, while the next three years cost Rs. 90,000 each.
  • In 2016, things changed significantly. The fee for the 1st year jumped to Rs. 1,26,000, and by the 4th year, it increased to Rs. 1,66,000.

So, it seems likely that in 2017, the fees will see a slight increase again!

I’m currently studying BA (Hons.) Economics at DTU, and the total cost for the course comes out to about 3 lakh rupees for the three years. The fees are split into roughly 90,000 for the first two years and 1 lakh for the final year. While it’s a good college, it’s definitely pricier than some of the other government colleges in Delhi. Just for reference, some places like DU charge under 15k!

The total cost for the BA (Hons.) Economics course at DTU over three years is around 3 lakh rupees. For the first two years, the fees are about 90,000 each, and the last year is around 1 lakh. Honestly, it’s a bit more compared to other colleges in Delhi, especially when you see DU where the fees are only about 15k. Also, if you have a backlog, the fee for one subject is 5,500, which feels a bit high.
