IIT Delhi is generally considered a better college compared to IIT Roorkee. So, if you go by the rankings, you should definitely choose IIT Delhi. However, Industrial & Production Engineering is a specialized branch that may not be as well-known in India. If you have plans to pursue a master's in industrial engineering from the USA, then this branch could be a good option for you. Ultimately, your decision should consider both the college's reputation and the specific branch you are interested in.

IIT Delhi’s B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering offers a vibrant campus life with frequent fests and a strong emphasis on academic support, but its rigorous exam schedule can be challenging. The faculty is highly qualified, and placements from the 6th semester are impressive, with companies like Microsoft and Google frequently visiting. On the other hand, IIT Roorkee’s B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering also boasts a balanced faculty-student ratio and a good learning environment, but it seems to provide easier access to internships and projects in trending fields like AI and machine learning. Both colleges have great placement opportunities, but I’d personally lean towards IIT Delhi for its overall student experience and robust placement track record, especially if you thrive in a competitive atmosphere. If you're more inclined towards a slightly less intense environment with a focus on emerging tech, IIT Roorkee might be the better choice for you.

IIT Delhi's B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering offers a robust placement scenario with over 90% of students getting placed in top companies like Microsoft and Google, boasting an average package of 18 lakhs. In comparison, IIT Roorkee's B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering also has strong placements, but the exact figures and company visits are less detailed. While both colleges have good faculty support and exposure, IIT Delhi edges ahead due to its higher average package and more frequent company recruitment starting from the 3rd year. If you're aiming for the best job prospects and a lucrative package, IIT Delhi is the better choice, but if you have a passion for electronics and want to explore its applications, IIT Roorkee is still a solid option.

IIT Delhi for B.Tech in Industrial & Production Engineering and IIT Roorkee for B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering both have their strengths, but when it comes to fees and return on investment, IIT Roorkee seems to offer a better deal. The average package at IIT Delhi is impressively high at 18 lakhs, but the lack of scholarships and higher living costs in Delhi can weigh you down financially. In contrast, IIT Roorkee has a more balanced fee structure and offers scholarships for deserving students, making it a smarter financial choice for many. If you’re looking for a course with solid ROI and value for money, I’d recommend IIT Roorkee for Electronics & Communication Engineering; however, if you’re set on Industrial & Production Engineering and can manage the costs, IIT Delhi is still a prestigious option.
