IIM Calcutta Auditorium and Classrooms

IIM Calcutta auditorium is considered to be the best among all the IIM campuses in India. Fully air conditioned and equipped with the latest audio-visual systems, the auditorium has a huge seating capacity of 750.

The auditorium houses all the major events, talks, and seminars at regular intervals. The annual international business school summit called ‘Intaglio’ is also hosted in IIM Kolkata auditorium.

IIM Calcutta IT Infrastructure and Computing Facilities

IIM Calcutta is among the first management institutes in the country to recognise the importance of IT and incorporate its presence in the campus infrastructure. 

Today, the campus has a strong network of over 1000 computer systems, four digital Alpha servers, seven Novell file servers, IBM RS-6000 server, and 2 Mbps and 64 Kbps radio links with VSNL for unlimited internet and WiFi access.

IIM Calcutta Hostel

IIM Calcutta currently has 4 hostels- the old hostel, the white hostel, the new hostel, and the lake view hostel. While the white and the new hostels are for male students, the old hostel has separate wings for both male and female students. The hostel rooms are provided with all the amenities. The hostels also consist of a common room, games room, and courts for various sports. An interesting feature of IIM Calcutta campus is the organization of inter-hostel sports competitions. IIM Calcutta’s annual cultural fest called Carpe Diem is among the most prominent highlights of life at the institute.
