Yes, I have been part of prestigious institutions in the past. All have been special in their own way. When it comes to joining ICFAI Raipur, I would say that the prospect of contributing academically excited me the most. The opportunity to lead strategic initiatives to elevate the institution's ranking, reputation and outreach happen to be among other inspiring factors for me to come along. So far the journey has been fantastic.

How do you balance the academic needs of students, and administration at the same time as a Vice-Chancellor?

I decisively believe in collaborative decision-making. When we consider inputs from students, faculty and administrative representatives, it provides for a data-driven rational decision-making process. This brings transparency and accountability into the system at the same time. This has been the foremost reason behind our success story. Our philosophy is to empower the stakeholders to the best of their ability.

We are in a time where the dynamics of education and industries are rapidly changing. How would you ensure that the appropriate required changes are incorporated into the curriculum of the programs offered by the institution?

It’s true that the dynamics of education and industries are rapidly changing and to keep up with that pace we have established a periodic curriculum review process. We engage industry experts in that. This helps us identify emerging trends and shifts in industry requirements. Infusing a global perspective into the curriculum to prepare students for a diverse and interconnected world is our agenda. By staying proactive and nurturing innovation we can ensure that our curriculum remains at the forefront of education trends and meets the evolving needs of students and industries.

What is your main emphasis on, in order to make ICFAI Raipur stand out and excel in all ways compared to all the other existing institutions in the country?

Can you describe what is the challenging part of being in a Vice-Chancellor role, and how you successfully manage it?

I reckon that being Vice-Chancellor of such a prestigious institution is more of an opportunity than a challenge. We are a passionate bunch of professionals who never get tired. This particular unit which I have been heading for a while is comparatively newer than its pals, that foundation phase is to be covered decisively. Establishing clear communication channels to actively listen to concerns and feedback from students, faculty and administrative staff has really helped me in managing the organization perfectly.

How does ICFAI Raipur leverage the use of the latest technology for teaching methods to give effective learning experiences to the students?

We do understand the significance of digital literacy and advancement. There have been constant efforts to integrate technology-driven learning tools, platforms and methodologies to prepare students for the globalized digital age. We have online learning platforms, virtual classrooms, digital resources, interactive multimedia, adaptive learning systems, digital assessment ways and various other resources to mentor the tech-savvy generation. AI-powered tools are being explored as well. Technology has been put into the picture in a way that ensures accessibility to all participants associated with the university.

What are the norms or the particular strategies you follow when you’re hiring a faculty into the organization?

University has industry standard norms and well-informed decisions are taken while recruiting. Job description and key result areas for every position are well defined. Advertisement, application screening, interviews, teaching demonstration, research presentation and reference check are duly taken care of. Orientation, probation period and performance review follow. Thanks to recruitment proficiency today we have well-qualified professionals who are very much committed to the cause.

What is your vision for the future as a Vice Chancellor of ICFAI Raipur University, in terms of enhancing the higher education offerings and improving the quality of the institution?

My aspiration is to integrate entrepreneurship, research and innovation within the curriculum to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset. I have got a great team of professionals, administrators, faculties and the top management is very accommodating. The infrastructure is amazing, students are enthusiastic and willing to walk that extra mile. This whole ecosystem provides for a setup that has potential to be world-class. As far as higher education offerings are concerned we are exploring possibilities of International Student Exchange Program Other than that youth-centric campaigns, startup grooming and business acumen identification summits are a few ideas where we intend to progress. My vision for the university is to foster a dynamic learning environment that empowers students to excel academically and contribute to society. I wish to have inclusivity and diversity where every student feels valued.
