Mr. Charchit Kumar Sahoo is the Head of the Department of Finance at Capital Institute of Management and Science, Bhubaneswar. He holds an MBA degree in Finance from Utkal University, Vani Vihar. He has a total of 12 years of fantastic work experience in the education sector. Being the Head of Finance Department at CIMS, what are your key responsibilities towards students?

My jobs and obligations towards the students are vital in ensuring the overall accomplishment and progression of the students and the division. In my work, I similarly need to provide educational and livelihood guidance to the students. This includes assisting them in other financial fields, such as research, internship selection, and course selection. I moreover need to truly zero in on the public authority help and flourishing of the students and control the representatives in the division

What keeps you connected with the Education sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?

I'm energetic about showing students and investigating moving focuses and progressions. Working in the educational field helps me ample opportunities to continuously acquire new information and stay aware of the latest updates. Besides, as an educator I am passing the quality information however I have confidence in building areas of strength for a base. How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and how students get practical experience from studying the subject?

What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education of your department?

Most importantly, our establishment isn't a University. It is a B-School under BPUT. So we need to adhere to the guidelines and guidelines of BPUT. Aside from that, we have restricted monetary assets, which can limit us from putting resources into refreshed showing materials, innovation, foundation, and personnel improvement programs.Keeping the curriculum up-to-date with the latest knowledge and industry trends can be challenging, especially in rapidly evolving fields.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

Nowadays students are getting good placements in the Financial sector. Investment Banking, Risk Management, Equity Analysis, Wealth Management, PMS, working for Venture Capitalists, PE and Hedge Funds, Big Broking Houses, Depository Services, Banks, NBFCs and other financial intermediaries, Business Consultancy, Core Finance jobs, and more opportunities in Mutual Funds as analysts and customer procurement and servicing are good career path.

What do you see as the college’s greatest strengths and how can it be enhanced?

The college has strong leadership abilities, organized by a team of highly knowledgeable academicians, an administrative team, and an admissions team. Most of our teachers have Masters and Doctorate degrees and have professional as well as teaching experience. Our biggest assets are our beautiful location in the outskirts and the very much affordable course fee. There are also scholarship schemes for the eligible students. Nurturing the students from basics to advance in the right direction is the mission of the college.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

I might want to encourage students to find their energy and strength, put forth clear objectives for the future, and don't lose all sense of direction in sheep strolling. Be versatile and tough, and construct an organization and connections in social profile.In the long run, straightforwardness and morals pay. Students the compliance issues of your work profile and simultaneously be creative.
