Which latest program are you offering in your institute to help students outperform?

At present, our college is offering the DevOps program to students and the course curriculum which includes rigorous lab sessions, has been designed thoroughly keeping in mind the modern day industry needs. And we have put in place comprehensive training programs so that students can practice Devops experiments.

And people associated with the IT industry know very well that DevOps is a crucial and in-demand skill as it focuses on the seamless integration of software development and IT operations. Hence our aim behind offering this wonderful course to ambitious youths of our college is to equip them with required skills sets and knowledge so that they can adapt and confidently engage in coding as well as software development process and stand apart from the crowd, not only in their present but future too.

Which factors make the programs of your institute a best fit and worth pursuing for students?

Without doubt, one of the best features of the newly introduced Devops course are social innovation projects as we regularly involve Students have the opportunity to engage in real-time case studies and projects under which they usually work on ground level in nearby villages. Firstly, they conduct surveys, talk to people and then identify the list of challenges faced by the community in order to develop problem statements and innovative solutions for each.

Apart from all this, for the purpose of helping students gain best practical exposure, develop amazing and affordable solutions for society problems and make a positive impact on everyone's life, students are engaged in funded projects of top-notch organizations like Directorate of Skill Development and DRDO. Last but not the least, students get to work on mini-major projects related to emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, network security, machine learning, data analytics and IoT and oftenly they combine these fields to develop deep understanding of each and build comprehensive skill sets. Hence a diverse range of projects make the Devops course a best fit and worth pursuing for students.

How do the courses of your college ensure the future readiness of students?

We have adopted a comprehensive teaching-learning approach and made advanced certification courses and hackathons an integral part of the course we are offering currently to students with the aim to make them ready for the evolving job market. As many companies nowadays have included hackathons in their recruitment process to assess the problem solving skills and practical knowledge of students.

Along with this, students receive training from industry experts who provide valuable insights to them about the latest technologies and trends. And students who do well in hackathons are offered internships so that they can further enhance their existing knowledge and use classroom learning for some fruitful projects.

Hence I would say that the amalgamation of apprenticeship, hackathons and training programs which start from the 2nd year onwards, enables students to develop essential skills, making them more confident, competitive and ready for future endeavors.

How did you train faculty to help them deliver the newly introduced program to students in the best way possible?

Our college has implemented a comprehensive training approach to ensure that faculty can deliver the Devops program effectively to students. And to keep faculty up-to-date with latest happenings and trends of the involved technologies and modern teaching methodologies, workshops and faculty development programs are conducted by us on a regular basis.

And to make lectures more interactive and make the learning environment mode dynamic, we motivate our teachers to engage students in meaningful activities including presentations and discussions. All this in return helps ambitious youths to clear their doubts, and understand the topics in a better way.

What challenges have you faced while inculcating a Devops program in your curriculum?

One of the biggest challenges in front of us while we were inculcating the Devops program was providing industry driven projects and a real-time learning environment and experience to students. As at present, we are using simulation tools, which may not fully replicate the real corporate setting. Another hurdle in front of us was to have a robust and modern infrastructure to deliver the program effectively, hence we are working on building a cloud laboratory on campus to provide the best environment to students where they can experiment with their ideas.

On what kinds of projects your students are currently working on under the Devops course?

Our students are working on a broad range of projects which includes incorporation of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Network Security, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and Internet of Things. And as and when required, they also combine these fields with one another to develop some cool cloud projects. This multi-streaming approach not only allows them to gain practical exposure to cutting-edge technologies but also prepares them for diverse future challenges.
