At the age of 10 or 11 years, a child enters the reproductive phase after which they become capable to reproduce their offspring. At this age, their body undergoes several changes. This period of life is called Adolescence. Since this period covers the 'teens', that is, 13 to 18 or 19 years of age, adolescents are also referred to as 'teenagers'. In girls, adolescence may begin a year or two earlier as compared to the boys. Also, the period of adolescence varies from person to person.
