BSc Electronics: What is it about?

BSc Electronics Admission Process

Students get admission for the B.Sc electronics course on the basis of their merit. Most of the colleges release a cut off percentage for the admission process.

  • Students who clear the cut off 10+2 percentage set by the college are granted admission to the course.
  • However, some colleges prefer to give admission based on entrance exams.
  • They will be allowed to appear for the exam only if they have the cut off percentage in their 10+2 examination also.
  • Entrance exams have objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

See: BSc Admission 2024

The candidates need to follow the following steps in order to get admission to the course:

Step 1 - Apply for admission

  • Students must apply for admission to the respective colleges where they wish to get admission. The notification for the application is generally released in the month of April-May.
  • The application is generally accompanied by the application of the entrance exam also. The students should make sure that they fill both the forms properly.

Step 2 - Appear and qualify in the entrance exam

Step 3 - Shortlisting Process

  • The college will shortlist the candidates who have fulfilled all the eligibility requirements.

Step 4 - The shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.

Step 5 - The candidates whose eligibility gets proved and verified will be given admission to the course.

How to prepare for B.Sc Electronics Entrance Exams?

Students must have a clear idea about the syllabus and the pattern of the exam. The general syllabus includes:

  • Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
  • General Knowledge (GK) and Current Affairs

Students can prepare well for these exams if they follow a timetable and give at least 2-3 hours a day for the preparation.

  • Before the exam try to solve as many mock tests and previous year papers as you can. This will help boost the confidence level before the exam.
  • The candidates appearing for these entrance exams must have a strong hold in Physics and Mathematics because most of the difficult questions are asked from these two subjects only.
  • The students need to read the newspaper regularly to improve their current affairs knowledge so that they can score well in this section.
  • Some exams have negative markings, so students must be careful while attending the questions. They must attend only those questions which they are sure about.
  • Since the exams are time-based, the more the students will practice giving mock tests based on time, the faster they will get before the exam.

How to Get Admission in a Good BSc Electronics College?

  • Since most of the top BSc colleges have a requirement based on the marks, so the students must focus and prepare well for the exam so that they are able to score good marks and clear the required cut-off.
  • Students will need to qualify in the entrance exam as well. It is advised that a student should try to attempt at least 80% of the questions in the exam to score better.
  • Students must keep track of all the important dates of the entrance exams, counselling, and other admission related dates so that they don’t miss any opportunities.

Cultural names like pratiba ,zyrax ,festember, razzmatazz these are the different names of the recent culturals. Our college has many journal books but the space is less in library like only 100 peopled can sit on library at once. The faculties and technology provisions within the classroom is good but in some classes the quality of technology is not fine. This college has the less participents in sports because they are not motivating students in sports.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:30,the faculties are soo nice and very approachable. I like roshni mam ,she is very approachable among other facilities. There is no faculty as I don't like because they are soo nice in character and well educated . There are 2 exams ,the min sem and main exam .we have six subjects and the exams are little bit difficult , mostly everyone could pass but majority fails in maths and electronica

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee that i will paid is 20000 rs. Actually there is a tution fee discount available because of the decreased number of students. my category is general so there is no concession. registration fee is about 6000rs, there is no admission fee, lab fees are included in semester tution fee. there are many scholarships available for students. it helps in reduction of fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

After completing plus two i joined Bsc Electronics in Government College Mananthavady Under Kannur University. This is a best opportunity for who loves IT field. The Fee structure was really affordable. The admission fee was around 5K . As we use the Lab we have a fees of around 1000 on 4th and 6th semester. If you have Egrantz scholarship you don't have to pay any of these except admission fees . The College also provides each and every scholarship that the kerala government have . Govt college Mananthavady is accredited with NAAC. It also have many Under graduate and post graduate programmes other than Electronics . Like Bcom (finance) , Bsc Physics , BA English, BA Development Economics, Mcom ( Finance ) , MA English and MA Development Economics. With a beautiful environment friendly campus you can enjoy the best college life .

Faculty

I was a Bsc Electronics student. Basically Bsc Electronics is a tough subject to study . Because it comes with all the new technologies. The faculties are very good throughout the college . We get the full support from our HOD Dr Rohit Raj. He gave us encouragement throughout the years. And all the teachers in our department are better one by one . Every department have sufficient teachers for teaching the students. If you study well you will pass . The exam is not that kinda tough . But still some will fail . But majority of them get passed on the next exam .
