Course Curriculum Overview

5

Nowadays colleges are updated their course and teaching skills based on the technology, while choosing the course I don't have much knowledge about the course but I'm interested in physics and mathematics, I prefer to take physics, mathematics and main subject as Electronics. In the academic year the concentrate on complete the syllabus and exam preparation out of that they provide some real life projects and realistic examples that will really help the students to learn the concept and implement in Future. The frequency and timing of exams was moderate there is no difficult in facing exam and the given time also sufficient to score well if they prepared well.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here is the detailed fee structure and scholarship details we get, Year fees we pay 4500/- maharani's science college for women Mysore is an government college, so we didn't pay any tution fees , devloped fees or lab fees and other charges , during admission we pay Rs 20/- for form to registration and then addmission fees 4500 only and its free for SC , ST and disabled candidates. For my batchmates also had same fees structure and it varies based on category/caste and we got SSP scholarship yearly once that's also based on category and the percentage of the student scored yearly .

Campus Life

5

My overall experience with campus life is great, from the joining to the last day of our college days every moment we enjoyed lot and learnd many things. They conduct many cultural events for encouraging the talent and fun , they celebrate all the national events, and blood donation camp and NCC camp and environmental days and so many compititions like essay writing, sketching and fashion design like lots of things they always encouraging the students to involve in any activities other than studies and they offer to social welfare activities and women welfare and swatch bharth eycy.. overall the environment of the college good for study and other healthy activities

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel Facility was nice but not so nice , it is a government college hostel so they didn't maintain properly. The buliding was too old they didn't renovate or painted . Hygiene wise it was not good , they didn't clean the washroom properly and they don't provide hot water . But the rooms are spacious , and the taste of the food was good and they plan different varieties everyday but little unhygienic and sometimes taste was not good. The registration process was first we fill the form and apply for hostel then they announce the names list based on the category and our PU score and sometimes reference also works and yearly fees 7500 and every month we have to pay the message bill around 3000 it varies month to month based on the menu and the warden also not nice, they didn't maintain the hostel properly

Admission

I didn't apply any other colleges, the first college I choose and join the same college, because it is a girls college and they prefer girls safety ofcourse other colleges also do but the girl's come from villages for study's, they feel safe and it is a government college, so we can afford it , the fees structure also nice and refunded also , so it's helpful, here there is no pre examination for addmission, we have to fill the form previously and pay the fees that's all.

Faculty

5

The faculty members are really good and they have very good relationship with the students and the way they approaching the students for learning was really good, some of the faculty members are not good but overall the ratio is high, we have enough number of lectures, they continuesly taking classes and providing proper study material and they conduct special classes also for revision and exam preparation they are really very approachable and we have totally 3 years and 6 semister , yearly we have 2 semester exams , all the students score well and the failing students are very less. Overall we got the best faculty so we scored well and learnt lot of things inside the syllabus and out of the syllabus which was helpful for leading a great life

Night Life

5

Our college is day college so it closes around 6 pm max , but outside the college we have lots of places for roaming, hope you know Mysore is one of safest and peaceful place. So we enjoyed every road while roaming with friends and lot of chat shops and the hostel life was most expensive things for our life because we learn many more things and friends, funny things, emotions and arguments with roomates and late night birthday celebration, night out lot of memories added on .. hostel timings are morning 6 Am to night 6 PM if there's any emergency or requirement we have to request permission with the hostel warden.

Now the syllabus has changed. New emerging technologies trends and subjects are introduced in new curriculum. Data science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security are now taught. Practical marks are reduced to 50 marks. Term end examinations are conducted twice in a year. Exams are not that difficult. Usually previous year questions appear in the exams.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

There is no such thing as placements for now (in 1st year here) but in our second year, we have placement support here. We have compulsory internship at our Second year. We only have 2 batches, 1st Year and 2nd Year. But for now, among our seniors 60% of them hold internships and others are either building something or scaling their skills. For now, we don't have any placement records but according to scaler academy, it will be aroung 24 Lakhs.
