BSc Agriculture Entrance Exam Eligibility

The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSc Agriculture) is a four-year undergraduate degree program that trains students in the science and practice of agriculture. The program covers a wide range of topics, including plant and animal science, soil science, agricultural economics, and agricultural engineering.

To be eligible for admission to the BSc Agriculture program, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

The total duration of the Entrance exam is 120 minutes, the exam paper is divided into four of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Agriculture. The marks allocation for the respective subjects is given in the below table.

Top BSc Agriculture Entrance Exams

Admission to Bachelor of Science in Agriculture is either based on merit or various entrance exams. Some universities and colleges have their entrance exams and some enroll students based on entrance exams like CUET which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Some of the common BCA entrance exams are CUET, TJJEE, TS EAMCET, KCET, UPCATET.

CUET UG

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities.

Exam pattern for CUET UG is given below:

Application Fee: The application fees for the unreserved category is Rs 750 , for OBC is Rs 700, for SC/ ST is Rs 650, and for international applicants is Rs 3750.

TJEE

TJEE, or Tripura Joint Entrance Examination, is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) for admission to various engineering, agriculture, veterinary, fisheries, and other professional degree courses in Tripura.

Exam pattern for TJEE is given below:

TS EAMCET

TS EAMCET, or Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, is a state-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering, agriculture, and medical courses in Telangana. It is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

The TS EAMCET exam is a computer-based test (CBT) and is conducted in two phases:

  • Phase 1: For engineering and pharmacy courses
  • Phase 2: For agriculture and medical courses

T LPU also has an updated curriculum, industry exposure, and also partners with top organizations to help their students. I have seen LPU offering placements to all its students from UG to PhD. The highest package for an agriculture PhD Student was 1 Crore per annum.
