Madras Medical College - Review

Likes

Many extracurricular clubs are there like Im in the fashion parade one.
Air conditioning facilities is avalaible jn almost all lecture halls
College is near to the metro and electric train stations making it easy for travels

Dislikes

Continous tests makes us uninterested in the subject.
Monotonous way of talking inevitably leading to us sleeping in class
Boys and girls cum activities are less leading to less interactions

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

Laboratory facilities provided in our college are better compared to private colleges
Library facilities also provided in college of pharmacy
Staffs are friendly in nature and also teaches well

Dislikes

College infrastructure are not good inside the college
Benches are not good in manner to sit inside
Toilet facilities are not in hygiene manner in the college

Placements are available in our college but not everyone is selected in the placements bachelors degree is not enough it is best to finish masters in NIPER institutions to get good work space or go to scientist side

Likes

We gain more practical knowledge here by treating patients.
We will see all different cases comes here and we will gain knowledge.
Teaching and practical aspect is better

Dislikes

Transporatation discomfort. They cannot provide tranportation for us for the posting in other instittutes.
There is no common room for us and proper classrooms.
They didn't provide separate drinking facilities. There is no extra activities like culturals, farwells, freshers day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This professional brings alot of remarkable thing to patient. We bring back them to their past physical life with good motive. We bring back them from their bed and make them to do their activities on thier own.

I liked the clinical exposure in my college
I also liked the way they teach us concepts
Transport has never been a problem here.

Dislikes

I dislike some of the teaching methods which is not accurate
Also they are very strict in some aspects
They are not allowing us take leave even if the reason is proper

I like the way of clinical teaching in my college
I like the appreciation of extracurricular activities

Theory classes needs to improve. faculties are not good enough to match institution
Didn't like the college surroundings and environment.we feel unsafe
College infrastructure was not good.It needs to improve more like Air conditioning,water supply,etc.,

I like their teachings and the connection between students and staff
I like each and every staff their knowledge and skills are awesome
I like the campus infrastructure and environment

Dislikes

The dinner hall is bad the housekeeping people will clean but everywhere the food are spread on the table
No leave excuse including sick leave and final year extension is there for each and every leave
We don't have any leave including government holiday

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wish to be medical field that make me to choose this course.. And my father is already a pharmacist and I wish to help him and follow him. During exams the college library is very useful and our staff daily ask viva that is very very helpful. I study daily. That will help to store high marks and I'm the topper of my class.

There is no clean toilets or bathrooms as its a government run college

I choose mbbs because of my parents pressure But after entering it got so tough I study like crazy in 1 st year but didnt get results And barely passed in 2nd year I forget everything everyday I cant remember anything and it depresses me often

The best clinical exposure ever

Really best clinical exposure that cannot be given by any of the institutions.
Good classroom facility for teaching and to be teached.
Absolutely Ragging free campus at the right place near to the hospital.

Dislikes

There is bad drainage system in the campus ever.
There is no campus interview at all in the college.
Really very strict administration in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nursing course contains all the treatment and care to the neonates,pregnant mother,elderly people. Their also will be an internship of 6 months within the academic year. It is the academic course of four years. Two semester per year is announced for this course.

Accessibility to food, medicines and any other items
Security systems in college and hostel were to the point extreme
Education standard was quite better when compared to other colleges

Both undergraduates and postgraduates were in the same building
It takes long to maintain certain things in hostel and if repaired, it is a never ending process

The curriculum was quite a bit difficult at first after which we will get used to it. I chose this course because there are no other person in the family in the medical field. I did'nt want to miss this opportunity especially when I get a seat by merit. Per year each department will have approximately 6 to 10 faculties whose qualifications range from B. Sc to Masters. Term exams are conducted yearly and pass rate is quite high especially when you know the basics

I think in the period the student will get placement in medical college. So many hospitals came like government medical colleges. The highest package is 7lakhs in government medical college. All students must have a percentage of 80 to qualify to get placement to get the job. I have been selected in a government medical college and working in a hospital.
