A PG's review of a tertiary care teaching hospital

The curriculum was quite a bit difficult at first after which we will get used to it. I chose this course because there are no other person in the family in the medical field. I did'nt want to miss this opportunity especially when I get a seat by merit. Per year each department will have approximately 6 to 10 faculties whose qualifications range from B. Sc to Masters. Term exams are conducted yearly and pass rate is quite high especially when you know the basics

Undergraduates will be offered opportunities in research activities funded by ICMR for which they will be awarded cash prizes. Postgraduates are basically primary-level employers and get monthly paid a decent stipend

There was no fee hike. It was a fixed fee each year. There are only merit seats in the college. No financial assistance or campus jobs will be made an option for the students. An internship program was available for a period of 1 year.

Each year, intra-college cultural programs, sports meet and hostel day, and various other events will be held. A particular year of the batch will be made in charge for smooth conduction of all the events. Secretaries will be elected each year to help and coordinate the events

A single room with 3 residents. Average food with non vegetarian food available for 2 days in a week. Snacks will be provided daily evening. Meal quality will be just enough to eat. Registration process for hostel is quite simple. Make a challan payment and fill all the basic details in a form after which the student will be alloted an available room

Eligibility is based on the medical cut off of Tamilnadu board exams. Admission through couseling process held at Kilpauk Medical Coege, Chennai. Dates will be notified according to the cut off mark and available seats will be displayed on a big screen. When our turn comes, we will have to choose the place from the available options in a span of 1 to 2 minutes
