Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

MBBS is dream of my family. This was the first reason I choose this curriculum. But it's not as much as expected.I feel it should get better though. It needs improvement in each thing for the best institution

Internships Opportunities

3

They offer Internship in my college hospital itself. It has so many allied institutions like Regional institute of ophthalmology RIO, Institute of Mental health IMH, etc, They offer Internship in there as CRRI

Fees and Financial Aid

An average course fees of 13,610 per annum is collected from government seat students. As I'm SC community student alloted in special reservation of SC quota. Hostel fees varu from different collages and In my college average of 5000 to 6000 is coming per month.

Campus Life

3.5

Revivals was cultural fest and encierro was intercollegiate sports meet Library was nice and good experience Facilities and technological provisions needs to improve as I mentioned before sports and extracurricular activities offered on campus is good but It could get better No

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel rooms were good and nicely ventilated Meal quality and menu also good But the water supply is not good Registration process is not a long process. They asked my CV and other personal details I got hostel in college campus itself Chennai.

Admission

I applied 15 Medical colleges including Stanley medical college, kilpauk medical College. But it was the 1st rank college in my state .So I choose it No I got no rejection from any other colleges. I'm the one who choose my college from others I should clear Neet exam for MBBS seat, then cut-off for the exam vary from year to year.In my batch it was around 520 out of 720

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio was good, but their mode of teaching needs to improve. Not all some faculties are good enough likewise others needs to improvise their self. I like pradeep sir in my college He's assistant professor in physiology department He's my mentor too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based curriculum. It is more clinically oriented. We get to answer questions only after diagnosing the clinical case based questions. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than just focusing on the theory part. It makes us ready to handle patients.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. This not something impossible with patience and intrest it's easy to learn. Every month we will be having internals for each subject. It would be hectic but fruitful. Don't always street about academics there are lot of beautiful things to gaze at also.

Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.
