Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mbbs has its own standard and respect the course is well recognised by everyone and they have huge respect for this. The patient respect us a lot Yearly once university exam is held and it is very difficult to clear

Internships Opportunities

2

It is compulsory to do a 1year internship in the college hospital and they proved stipend monthly close to 27k and the work load is very very high and stressful Some postings are so hard you don't even get time to eat

Fees and Financial Aid

As I got into the college with government quota and everyone gets in with government quota only but mark may vary depending on the category they belong. The fees is fixed and same for everyone the students who studied in government schools and got in with 7.5% reservation have exception they need not pay college fee and hostel fee. Yearly college fee is nearly 13600 it varies depending on the year you are in. Total course college fees comes around 45000 excluding the hostel fee and yearly you have to pay exam fees that adds around another 12000 yearly.I don't have any scholarship. The sc/st have more benefits also the 7.5% reservation students have more benefits.

Campus Life

3

The campus is huge and hospital is 1km away from college so it is hard to walk during postings Ecstasy is the culutural event it rarely happens lastly took place in 2023 tamponade is sports event that too rarely happens Sports facilities are all present but permission to go other places is hard to get

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostels are very poorly maintained and even water facility is not proper one of the worst hostel to be in The food is okayish Registration process are all simple to fill some forms it is better to rent a place and become dayscholar

Admission

This is an old and well renowned college in tamilnadu It is more than 65 years old and one the few college with 250 capacity so it is well established I also applied for Madurai and Coimbatore but didn't get in due to lack of marks

Faculty

3

It varies according to the department generally faculty to student ratio is very low maybe 1:25 Some faculties are really friendly like sir that talk with humour sense Some faculty show attitude and act like psychopath surgery department hod Yearly one university exam is held it is traumatic to pass the exam days 4-5 fail to clear exam

Night Life

4

For boys they are free to go out in night but girls have restriction and in time. Gym can be joined privately outside Library is inside college campus free to use by students No hangout spaces inside college but around the college there are places like road house, juice time and parks

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.
