Government Theni Medical College is the college which was affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. University, Chennai. It is the first college which inaugurated in Tamil Nadu. The college campus include Faculty block, 600 bedded hospital, Casualty block, Administrative block, Examination hall, Central library, Lecture Hall , Blood Bank, Mortuary, Auditorium, Post office, Cafeteria, Bank and Gas plant. It offers Bachelor Degree in the field of Medical course.
The college campus infrastructure is well furnished with all modern facilities. Its classrooms are all well-furnished and having a well-equipped library with range of books and journals. It is having a separate hostel facilities for boys & girls and another facilities including gymnasium are also provided. The college having a variety of teaching and learning techniques which are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students.
