TN NEET PG Counselling 2025 Dates

The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME & R), Tamil Nadu has announced that the NEET PG counselling 2025 registration process is now live for the academic session 2025–26. The registration window opened on September 9, 2025 (12 Noon).

The counselling process will be held for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma programmes in Government Medical Colleges and Government quota seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.

Eligibility Criteria for TN NEET PG Counselling 2025

According to the official notification, only candidates who have cleared NEET PG 2025 conducted by the National Board of Examinations are eligible to apply.

Applicants must also have completed their MBBS course along with the CRRI internship by July 31, 2025, and should hold a valid registration with either the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the respective State Medical Council.

The minimum qualifying marks have been fixed at the 50th percentile (276 marks) for General candidates, while the cut-off is 40th percentile (235 marks) for SC, ST, and OBC candidates, including those with disabilities.

For General candidates under the PwD category, the eligibility criterion has been set at the 45th percentile (255 marks).

What is the counselling process of TN NEET PG 2025?

The counselling process will begin once the state rank list is published after verification of applications. According to the schedule, admissions will be carried out in four phases- Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, and Stray Round.

Seat allotments will be made on the basis of state merit rank, reservation norms, and the availability of seats across medical colleges in Tamil Nadu

What is the Application Fees for Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling 2025?

As per the notification, candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹3,000, while applicants from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories of Tamil Nadu are exempted from this charge.

However, a non-refundable counselling registration fee of ₹1,000 has been made mandatory for all candidates.

For seat allotment, candidates must also pay a security deposit, which has been fixed at ₹30,000 for Government Medical Colleges and ₹1,00,000 for Government quota seats in self-financing colleges.

What are the documents required for TN NEET PG Counselling?

According to the official notification shared on TN NEET PG Counselling web portal, candidates must keep a set of essential documents ready for verification during the counselling process.

These include the NEET PG 2025 admit card and scorecard, MBBS degree or provisional certificate, CRRI completion certificate, and a valid medical registration certificate from either the NMC or a state medical council.

Applicants belonging to reserved categories will also have to produce their community and nativity certificates, while all candidates are required to furnish an Aadhaar card or any other government-issued photo ID such as a passport, voter ID, or driving licence.

In addition, those applying under the PwD quota must submit a certificate issued by a recognised medical authority
