NIFT Jodhpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

So, the students are eligible for placements after the 8th semester, which is after they graduate. As for Fashion Communication (FC), the companies range from news channels like NDTV, to companies like Shopper's Stop, Magazine outlets like Vogue, and Media channels like MTV, almost every sub field requires FC students, given the vast area of our studies. Also, I have to admit I'm not very well informed about the placement situations or the statistical numbers, but as far as I have heard from the seniors, almost every graduate leaves with a job, or chooses to get into freelancing. The highest package received was by one of my seniors, which is 24lpa, and the average is approx 15lpa. As for my plans after getting my degree, I'm still exploring, since I'm in sem 4, and only halfway thru my degree. I'm leaning towards either Fashion Journalism, Styling, PR and Brand Management or Creative Direction, but I'm still keeping my options open.

The curriculum prepares us for our real world applications of what we have pursued as there are regular feedbacks and continuous guidance from the faculty. By the end of the semester, the students are evaluated by a jury who review all the work the students have done throughout the semester.

Students become eligible for campus placements in the last (eighth) semester. The placement is done on centralised basis. Companies like myntra, Aditya birla group and some more come to the placements. Last year the average package was around 600000 per year. My plan after the degree is to get some experience from jobs and then start something of my own.

In 4th year student is eligible for campus placement, Many known companies in apparel come and provide around 5 LPA to 10 LPA. 80 percent get placement, I will do a great job in apparel production and then think of a good startup.

I think they should work on their placement thing because many students from my batch didn't get any placement. Companies were so defined and they were not at all related to accessories design. We got helpless at that time. Many of us haven't got the placement from the campus.

Students become eligible during the last semester, which is the fourth year. There are many offers made. The number of placements has gradually decreased as the number of campuses is increasing in the country. But as there are more courses now, this has resulted in more competitive students.

The allover experience here is great, giving students the best college life, exposure and experience. i can say easily that yes, i am experiencing the best days of my life. and may lead to an amazing career because of my college.

NIFT has total of 16 campuses allover India, however the campus of Jodhpur is established in 2010. so it is currently developing. hence the branch of Jodhpur is doing its best to explore more opportunities for its students.

The application process for all the courses is online. Candidates for B.Design and B.Ftech course need to have passed HSC and applicants of B.Ftech and M.Design course must have done graduation in the relevant discipline. Selection to B.Design course is on the basis of entrance exams GAT and CAT followed by a situation test. For B.Ftech and MFM course candidates have to sit for GAT exam.

The admission is purely based on the entrance exam and it includes the CAT(creative ability test) and GAT(general ability test).They selected me through this exam and called for the admission counselling process to select the course.
