Likes

There are scholarships available for students based on their merits.
College staff was there available when we need any help regarding admission .
The faculty members are great at their work, and create a very friendly environment.

Dislikes

Poor Elevator facility. And confusing infrastructure
The college is located a little far from mainland Mumbai, making it difficult for students living in Central and Western side to travel on a daily basis.
At the college was affiliated to Mumbai university so things were disorganized

Likes

Infrastructure, cultural events like Alegria
Helpful and knowledgeful peers and faculties.
Extra curricular activities are conducted in college other than the academics for students.

Dislikes

The college is located a little far from mainland Mumbai, making it difficult for students living in Central and Western side to travel on a daily basis.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for campus placements in their 5th or 6th semester. Various companies like Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, etc visit the campus every year. The average package ranges from 2LPA-5LPA. A good amount of students get placed from each department.

Experiencing the glory of PCACS.

Likes

Both the teaching and no teaching staff is supportive and have helping nature.
Environment is very natural of the college.

Dislikes

College campus is complicated to understand.

Placement Experience:

Students in our college become eligible for campus placements starting in the 6th semester. There are various tech companies which offers recruitment for BCA students. Placement package starts from 4.5 lakhs per annum.

PCACS - The right choice

Likes

The freedom and liveliness of the campus. In no way you'll find the campus to be restricting or lacking. It provides the basic needs of the students quite well.
The student body, you'll find the students being independent and engaged in entrepreneurship and moving forward. Easy to talk and make connections as a student.
Support from the teachers and staff. Have your own idea or can innovate on something that already exists? Teachers and staff both can help you push it out. It's a blessing to have such supportive teachers pushing us forward.

Dislikes

The teaching staff. Teachers are not adequate for the subject they're asked to teach. Well I do understand that they study on the go and teach at the same time but still the quality of teachers can be better for such a costly college.
The management. Things feel rushed and very last minute. Our semester was rushed in a few months while the other colleges had delayed and given some time to their students.
The way assignments and coursework is. Being a plug and play classroom and applications focused degree you'd expect more up-to-date methods for submitting coursework but no, we still follow the traditional methods.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subject relevancy and the curriculum structure are great. They're better than expected and definitely allow the student to leverage themselves to higher levels of education with ease. As someone who prior knowledge about the course before joining, I found the course to be pretty easy to understand while still being modern and up-to-date with the latest trends in the job market and outside world.

Pillai College: know before you choose

Likes

Inspite of high fees and no aids in fees the college provides vast opportunities in sports, education and other activities
There is committee for everything like for exam , departments even there is committee for ragging which makes clg a safe place to study
Teachers are very friendly and very helpful they all are updated to all new technologies

Dislikes

I feel the college is in kind of rush for everything not the syllabus but it is like they complete semester exams in 3-3.5 months
Management could be more better , this is the area where college needs to focus
Lastly Fees , college needs to give students some aid or atleast time to pay evevyone cant afford giving 80k at once

Placement Experience:

The placement provided is quite nice every year new companies provide campus placement here at pillai's and some students choose to go for masters degree or any other degree within or outside the college

Likes

There is an overall development of students from soft skills to industrial skills all the essential qualities are a part of curriculum itself
Syllabus is industry accepted and up to date.
Has many committees depending upon interest of every individual.

Dislikes

Extremely strict with rules and regulations
Poor Elevator facility. And confusing infrastructure

The syllabus and curriculum is really moder and nee age syllabus. It includes all the new age technologies and everything that a student need to be industry ready. Faculty is experienced and numerous opportunities for students to prove their skills not only in Academics but also in extra curriculars

Balanced Review of Pillai College of Arts, Commerce And Science

Likes

The college attracts a diverse student body, which enriches social interactions and learning experience.
Amazing events and exposure provided in terms of participating in the events.
College has a very dedicated placement cell that works to connect students with job opportunities.

Dislikes

There is a shortage of useful study materials .It would really help if the provided with more study materials.
Limited options for financial aid and scholarships.
Them asking to pay the fees altogether. It would really help us if they had an option it pay the fees in installments.

Placement Experience:

I am not much aware about the placements but from what i heard from the seniors that there is a cut throat competition out there and getting placements are becoming difficult..And the students are not satisfied with the Placements from the college. From 4th semester the students are eligible for campus placements.The packages provided can vary a lot and can vary from 1lpa-10lpa. i dont know the exact percentage but there are a good amout of students getting placements . My plans after getting degree is do intership for a year or two and ten pursue my masters degree either in MCA or MBA.

Fun activities conductued and a wide range of extracurriculars.
Supportive teachers offering personalized guidance, approachable staff enhancing learning success.

Dislikes

Location of college far from mainland Mumbai, making the ones living in central and western a little difficult to travel on a daily basis.
A fast paced curriculum making it little difficult to cope up.
Knowledge required of multiple domains as a prerequisite as students are supposed to compulsarily opt for subject of multiple domains during their semester.

Placement Experience:

The students may become eligible for campus placements from 5th or 6th Semester. Various companies like Accenture, Capgemini, Wipro, TCS visit the college every year. Students from each department get placed with an average salary ranging from 2-5 lakhs per annum.

I like the placement provided by the college
i like the committees present in the college

Dislikes

The management of the college can has a space for improvement.
the college conducts all the exam in a rush as in they will take a 20 marks exam immediately after that they take the assignments which contains 20 marks and at the semester end they take 60 marks exam and schedule is very rushed

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good, Many years big companies Tcs, Accenture, etc. many students choose to get picked by the companies on campus and many go for a master's degree or any other degree of their liking.
