Ques. What is the eligibility for ME (Engineering Design) at PSG iTech?
Ans. Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories). A valid GATE (Mechanical Engineering) or TANCET (ME) score is required for government quota seats. Candidates without GATE/TANCET may apply for management quota seats.
Ques. What is the admission process for ME (Engineering Design) at PSG iTech?
Ans. Admissions are through TANCA (Tamil Nadu Common Admissions) for government quota seats, based on GATE/TANCET scores. Candidates must register on the TANCA portal, participate in counselling, and fill college and programme preferences. Management quota seats are filled through institutional counselling conducted by PSG iTech directly.
Ques. What career options are available after ME (Engineering Design) from PSG iTech?
Ans. ME (Engineering Design) graduates can pursue careers as product design engineers, R&D engineers, CAD/CAM engineers, FEA analysts, and design consultants in automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, and consumer products companies.
