25 Nov, 2025 PSGIM MBA Admission 2026-27 is open. Apply Now!

24 Nov, 2025 CMAT 2026 Registration is ongoing for admission to the MBA/PGDM programs. The last date to register @cmat.nta.nic.in has been extended to Nov 24, 2025 (upto 11:50 PM). Further, the application correction window will be available from Nov 26 to 28, 2025. For more details, check here.

13 Nov, 2025 CAT 2025 Admit Card has been released on Nov 12, 2025. Candidates can download it from the official website, iimcat.ac.in. CAT 2025 Exam will be held on November 30, 2025 (Sunday) for MBA/ PGDM admission. For more details, check here.

PSG Institute of Management popularly known as PSGIM  is a private institution established in 1961 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The institute is affiliated with Anna University Chennai. The college is accredited by ACBSP, AACSB, NBA, and approved by AICTE. The institute has been ranked 168th by Collegedunia and 31th by IIRF under the Management category in 2025. PSGIM Coimbatore offers MBA as its flagship course. To be eligible for admission to the MBA program, the candidate must pass graduation or equivalent in relevant subjects from a recognised university with 60% marks in aggregate (55% for SC/ST). PSGIM Coimbatore Admission to the MBA program is based on  CAT/ MAT / TANCET / ATMA Score followed by a Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI). Shortlisting will be based on overall profile of candidates including academic performance, work experience, diversity, contribution to community, extracurricular achievements, performance in the admission process & entrance examination score. In 2024, PSGIM Coimbatore MAT overall cutoff percentile is 75 for the general category. The total Tuition fee for the MBA program is INR 11.5 Lakhs.

PSGIM Coimbatore offers admission to Management courses based on the marks obtained in TANCET, ATMA, or CAT. The TANCET MBA is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Anna University. The exam assesses students in areas like quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and business sufficiency. ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions) is conducted by AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) for admissions to MBA or PGDM courses, and the CAT exam, or the Common Admission Test, is a national-level entrance examination in India. PSGIM Coimbatore Admission 2026

PSGIM Coimbatore offers admission to its various programs based on national level entrance examinations. The institute accepts  CAT / MAT / ATMA / TANCET score, for admission to its MBA programs, followed by a Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI). Candidates who have appeared for the final semester of their graduation degree examination for the admission year and are waiting for their results are also eligible to participate in the admission process, provided they have no backlogs. If selected, such candidates must complete their graduation and submit their pass certificate with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Below are the step by step to be followed for PSGIM Coimbatore Admission to MBA courses.

Step 1: Check the eligibility criteria, and if the candidate has scored not less than 55% of marks in aggregate, then he/she can apply.

Step 2: Prepare for at least one of the accepted entrance examinations: CAT / MAT / ATMA / TANCET.

Ans. Hostels are available for boys and girls in twin-sharing or four-member sharing three-member rooms. The fee can range from INR 74,000 to INR 96,500 annually. Admission:

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, coimbatore and PSG Institute of Management, coimbatore. I got confirmation with both colleges but I opted for PSG IM as because, I can be a day scholar were in Amrita I have to be in hostel My college admission process is I got through MAT entrance and minimum they expect above 70 percentile and then I had several rounds first Group discussion and followed by Personal Interview. There are some more several entrance exams which are accepted here like CAT,XAT,TANCET and most preferred by students is TANCET

PSG Institute of Management 21-23, in a nutshell

Admission:

So basically PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu is one of the best institutes facilitating management graduates. The subjects have been tailored according to the current trend and corporate exposure. In order to get into PSGIM (degree awarded by Anna University) there are two ways: through TANCET (i.e. an exam similar to CAT, exclusively for Business Schools in Tamilnadu) and the MAT (Management Aptitude Test which comes under the management vertical). So an eligible student through TANCET should score above the 98 percentile in order to secure admission at PSGIM and a student through MAT should score above 600 (composite score). Apart from this PSGIM offers courses affiliated with reputed foreign universities like Leeds Beckett University, University of Toledo, etc. Students are eligible to apply for these courses if they attempt the MAT exam and score above 550 (composite score)

Course Curriculum Overview:

PGDM course is one of the professional course but I don't recommend that if you gonna have online class because this course is full of activities and practical style learning so if you plan to go for PGDM in online class that is worst decision you gonna make. Compare to MBA, PGDM is bit expensive. PSGIM has great faculties with N number of activities/events so we can learn business stuff practical through those activities.

Selection to MBA is done on the basis of merit obtained in MAT (Management Aptitude Test). Candidates applying for the 2-year MBA full-time course need to have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Final selection for all courses offered by PSG Institute of Management is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. Work experience is highly recommended for the MBA Part-time and PGDM course. Candidates should have at least two years of post-qualification work experience and preferably worked as an executive or an administrator upon completing their Bachelor’s degree. For admission to the 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. Admission to MBA, Part-time MBA and PGDM program is offered on the basis of MAT/ TANCET/CAT/ ATMA .

Admission to this session of 2023-24 has already been over as the entrance exam is over. However, for the session of 2024-25, you need to appear for the entrance exam in late October or November 2024.

PSGIM Coimbatore does not accept the scores of MAT for admission to MBA. Instead of MAT, the institute accepts the valid scores of TANCET for admission to MBA.

Yes, you can persue master’s degree after completion of your graduation. The college offers MBA on the basis of CAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA score.
