PSG Institute of Management - Life experience

Likes

The college takes for an international trip were it is called as business beyond borders and it is credit course which I liked the most
The subjects which they provide are close to the Market trend and need, so it is useful
For 2 semester there is a course called active learning program and I liked the most which gave connection and bonding among my fellow students

Dislikes

For some subjects they should hire better industry expert staffs

Admission:

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, coimbatore and PSG Institute of Management, coimbatore. I got confirmation with both colleges but I opted for PSG IM as because, I can be a day scholar were in Amrita I have to be in hostel My college admission process is I got through MAT entrance and minimum they expect above 70 percentile and then I had several rounds first Group discussion and followed by Personal Interview. There are some more several entrance exams which are accepted here like CAT,XAT,TANCET and most preferred by students is TANCET

PSG Institute of Management 21-23, in a nutshell

Admission:

So basically PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu is one of the best institutes facilitating management graduates. The subjects have been tailored according to the current trend and corporate exposure. In order to get into PSGIM (degree awarded by Anna University) there are two ways: through TANCET (i.e. an exam similar to CAT, exclusively for Business Schools in Tamilnadu) and the MAT (Management Aptitude Test which comes under the management vertical). So an eligible student through TANCET should score above the 98 percentile in order to secure admission at PSGIM and a student through MAT should score above 600 (composite score). Apart from this PSGIM offers courses affiliated with reputed foreign universities like Leeds Beckett University, University of Toledo, etc. Students are eligible to apply for these courses if they attempt the MAT exam and score above 550 (composite score)

Have to write CAT, MAT or TANCET entrance exam to get into college. Only thourough entrance test you can get the seat in college. It is one of the best top 50 B-schools in india and best MBA institute in Tamil Nadu.

Admission:

Heard it's very practical and handled by experienced staffs. Wrote CAT, then had 3 rounds of interview including group discussion. Also, another process is by writing TANCET and getting in thourough counseling (limited seats)

Admission:

I wrote MAT Exam in February 2018, and the score was 96 percentile, PSGIM requires above 90 percentile. Then I applied through the college website and called for the interview. There were three rounds(GD, Technical & HR).In order to study we need to pass all three rounds. Finally, there will be a session for document verification (MAT scorecard and UG mark sheets).

Life transformation

Admission:

I applied for government counselling.i got the admission through government allocated merit seat.i was given the admission through Merit by government and joined the college through this.The government issued the TANCET marks and released a rank list.We were given a counselling date according to rank attained.We were given a choice to select from the list of available college during the time of counselling and I chose Psgim in my slot.They gave the admission order and I went to college and secured my seat by paying the government advised fees.

Completed TANCET Exam. After the exams Anna university announces results. also conducts counselling -single window method of selection. Attended tancet counselling on the stipulated date in Anna university Coimbatore. I got to select PSG as I was among the first few to attend.
