SBM NMIMS Admission

The selection criteria of the institute are based on an entrance test, namely NMAT, conducted by GMAC. This will be followed by a personal interview. Candidates with a GMAT score of more than 600 are also eligible for admission.

How to Apply for NMIMS?

Candidates willing to apply for the MBA course can follow the steps:

Step 1: Registration at NMAT by GMAC™: Visit www.nmat.org to register online and complete the registration process by paying the registration fee. Note down your NMAT by GMAC™ registration number, which is a prerequisite for completing the NMIMS application.

Step 2: Registration at NMIMS: Visit www.nmims.edu and enter your NMAT by GMAC™ registration number, and complete the application process. Candidates will not be able to fill out the NMIMS application form without the registration number. Complete the application process by paying the registration fees (non-refundable). The NMAT by GMAC™ application scores will be used for the further selection process.

Note: Candidates must register only once for the NMAT

Registration Fee: INR 2,800

Selection Criteria

Stage 1: The NMAT by GMAC™ test is a mandatory test for applying to the following NMIMS University programs:

MBA
MBA HR
MBA Business Analytics
MBA (Digital Transformation)
MBA Pharmaceutical Management Mumbai

After the candidate has applied to NMIMS, the score of the NMAT by GMAC™ Test for all the NMIMS applicants will be submitted by GMAC to NMIMS (Deemed-to-be-University)

Stage 2: Shortlisting of the candidates is based on the NMAT sectional, and the total score will be calculated only for candidates applying to any of the NMIMS programs

NMIMS conducts the 2^nd Stage of the selection process for the shortlisted candidates. The Process includes a psychometric test, a written Aptitude test, and a Personal Interview. The details will be provided subsequently. The selection process is done in person, and the candidate must carry the NMAT by GMAC scorecard.

Note: Call letters will not be emailed or sent by post; they will be declared on the candidate's dashboard.

Weightage will be given to academic performance and work experience as well.

The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained by a candidate in the NMAT by GMAC™, personal interview, WAT, psychometric test, work experience, and past academic performance.
The selection criteria are based on merit only. The decision regarding the cut-off of the merit list will solely lie with NMIMS. Aspirants who have applied for more than 1 Programme / Campus in the application forms will be selected based on their merit score and preferences and the availability of the seats in the respective programme.

Note: The decision of the NMIMS shall be final and binding on all concerned.

NMIMS Mumbai and SIBM Pune are both well known management institutes of India.

Here are some facts about both-

The fees at NMIMS Mumbai are quite high.
NMIMS does not have a huge campus like SIBM, but its campus is located in one of the most posh areas of Mumbai. Its infrastructure is top notch. SIBM on the other hand, is located on the outskirts.
SIBM has a batch size of 180, whereas, NMIMS has a batch size of 500. Batch profile is similar for both of them.
NMIMS places almost thrice as many students as SIBM, in less time, and at equivalent or more packages. This is because of several factors, one of them being location.
NMIMS offers a significantly higher Corporate Exposure due to its location. However, you’ll miss out on campus and hostel life at NMIMS.

Both these colleges have their own pros and cons. Based on your personal preferences, you can choose any one of them for your management studies.
