MBA at SBM NMIMS Mumbai

To apply for MBA in NMIMS you have to register for NMAT exam via NMAT by GMAC website after which you get 3 attempts and the best score is taken into consideration. Then the shortlist is given and selected students are called for the WAT/ PI round in mid-February. The final list is out by first week in march of the selected students.

I chose MBA at NMIMS because of the various career opportunities and an excellent placement record over the last 10 years. Added to that was the big alumni network that the college provides for student interaction and exposure coupled with an exchange program to various countries abroad as well. The student to faculty ratio is around 65:10 and the professors are highly qualified in their field with industry experts as well.

Roles such as marketing associate, product management intern, etc are offered to students as part of their summer internship program where companies come to provide placement opportunities to students. the stipend ranges from 30000-150000 per month for a period of 2 months.

The students become eligible for campus placements after the 4th trimester when the companies start coming to campus for placements and offer jobs to the studeents. companies such as reliance, tata, Wipro come to campus each year with packages ranging from 15LPA to 35LPA. NMIMS provides a 100% campus placement record for all its students.

The cost of study includes the basic fees and living expenses like hostel which is around 200000 to 300000 per annum. Various companies come on campus for job placements and provide a plethora of opportunities for students to get into. The companies are reliance, unacademy, tata, etc. I got a campus placement at Wipro with an excellent career opportunity.

The campus life is very healthy with various opportunities for students to indulge in extracurricular activities. various fests like euphoria, Nepathya week are conducted every year for students to showcase their talents in front of a huge crowd of students and teachers. the classrooms are a work of art with various AI powered technologies to aid the teaching process. there is a placement committee and a student council along with various functional and core cells like Nepathya, verve, zephyr, etc for students to take part in.

The admission process consists of a WAT/ PI round where you are given a topic and you have to write an essay on it on the basis of which you are called in for your interview process conducted by the faculty. The interview mostly revolves around the hygiene questions like introduction and why did you go for MBA at NMIMS, etc.
