Life at SBM NMIMS

The admission process consisted of applying for the NMAT exam via NMAT by GMAC website where you can appear for the exam a maximum of 3 times from which the highest scorw will be considered. After the cutoff is released, the call for a WAT/ PI round is given to the selected candidates.

I chose MBA HR because of the placement record at NMIMS is the last 5 years and an interest in the course. The faculty to student ratio is around 25 to 122. The teaching method is mostly project based and requires you to conduct in-depth research on various topics. The exams are conducted at the end of every trimester and go on for 5 days. The faculty is highly qualified with industry experience as well.

The various job roles offered for summer internships are recruiting, talent acquisition, performance appraisal, etc. The stipend can range from 20000-120000 per month for a period of 2 months. The various companies are reliance, tata, goldman sachs, etc.

Students become eligible for campus placements from 4th trimester onwards when companies start coming to campus to offer jobs. Various companies that come are reliance, unacademy, Microsoft, Aditya birla, etc. The average CTC in the last 5 years for MBA HR is 13LPA and the highest CTC offered is 25LPA. The placement record is 100% for the students.

The fee for our year was 1095000 PA but it has now been increased to 1195000 PA and the trend has been same over the last 2 years. Apart from that the hostel fee is around 250000-300000 PA. The college offers a plethora of opportunities for summer internships with around 50 companies coming to the campus for placements with stipends ranging from 20000-120000 and a wide array of job profiles being offered.

There are various fests conducted all year round by the various clubs and committees in place. The classrooms are state-of-the-art technology with AI run virtual setup as well and a provision of hybrid classrooms after covid. There is a student council for the student queries and a placement committee as well. Apart from that there are 5 core cells like Nepathya and various functional cells like verve, xplore, etc where a student can get registered after sitting for an interview.
