Post Graduate Government College for Girls Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I choose commerce as l like study that.even the classes are good. Everything is nice but nowadays commerce needs more than just bookish so.so it's need to be improved.frequency of exams makes students loose the interest.

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

Because i love account's its very interesting so i thought its good for my future that's the reason i choose this course In my college all teachers are well trained and polite so they teach us properly and because of her polite nature we feel comfortable if we have any doubt

I choose this courses because i want to do job in banking sector . I didn't think they need any improvement overall it was good e,exam timing is 3 hours and sometimes according to the marks of exam were decided the timing of exam

As I'm a commerce student and I want to pursue commerce so bcom is the better option for me as I love accounts. And hons gives the specifications of the course. Students mostly pursue bcom after commerce in 12 or if they are not suitable with commerce in 12 they can change their course and take other courses like bba ba bca etc. Depending upon their preferences. In my college teachers are very well educated as almost every teacher has done their phd. Professors are selected only if they have a clear UGC NET.

Right now I haven't attended placements yet . Students of final year are eligible for placements .I have no idea about the companies and offers but as heard from seniors there are offers from banks and other mid - size firms. I am planning to complete my CA course after graduating as I pursued both of them paralelly would like to sit for govt. / Bank Exams as well .

From the fifth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. If a company came there it takes at least 5 to 6 students but with a minimum package of 3 to 4lacs per year. Only 15 to 20% of the students get placements after the campus requirement. Most students have planned after the completion of their degree either to opt for government services or for the master's degree after clearing CAT and they may opt for the teaching line after Ph.D.

The college is really very well maintained. The canteen is also very nicely maintained which is really very good for us. There are stationery shop and photocopy shop inside the campus of the college. One thing that I dont like is there no placement opportunities.

I loved everything about the college. The campus was so clean and green. It had many places to hangout. There were many facilities provided. The overall experience was good and unforgettable.

College management is very good. There was no inefficiency reagarding working of it.
