- Infrastructure of our college is good, as it promotes greenery all over the campus as it gives positive vibes to the person.
- Canteen , nescafe and other stalls are hygiene and food is also neat and clean and most importantly tasty and at very affordable price.
Dislikes
- It is the girls college because due to it a person can't able to deal with the outer environment easily it being difficult to get adjust with other people as it destroy your ability to socialize
- 75 attendance for 3rd yr students. Like in 3yr students prepare for competitive exam for studies but our teachers are to strict for attendance they literally call up parents
- Internet connection doesn't come due to jammer due to which it is difficult to do online payments in canteen and Internet connection our also required for projects snd assignments
Course Curriculum Overview
As I'm a commerce student and I want to pursue commerce so bcom is the better option for me as I love accounts. And hons gives the specifications of the course. Students mostly pursue bcom after commerce in 12 or if they are not suitable with commerce in 12 they can change their course and take other courses like bba ba bca etc. Depending upon their preferences. In my college teachers are very well educated as almost every teacher has done their phd. Professors are selected only if they have a clear UGC NET.
Internships Opportunities
As I'm in the 3rd year companies will come in next sem which is the 6th for internships and job opportunities for students. Till now I haven't been able to experience internship opportunities in my college I only heard from my seniors.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is affordable for government colleges. They are scholarships opportunities for also whose family income is lower than the expected income. But I didn't roll any scholarship opportunities as the fees are already lower than 10,000 in the even sem and odd sem 11000. Right now I'm in the 3rd year so the job opportunity we will get in the last semester is 6 sem in which a few companies will come to check our abilities and provide different job opportunities.
Campus Life
In the curriculum activities, our college is better as they provide different activities and add-on courses. As I personally joined event management in 2nd year the course was for 1 year for rs 2500 and it really helped us build our abilities. And there are many hobbies and activities like you can learn guitar, dance, yoga, painting, etc at a very low price like 300 for a month. But as the degree course classes start from 9 am to 2:15 pm we face problems with joining hobbies activities as they start from 3 pm to 4 pm students.
Admission
There is no entrance exam for college admission in Chandigarh. It is based on the 12 board exam marks. The admission process starts after 12 results. The government provides online admission forms on the site where you can select colleges of your choice according to your percentages. After a few counseling, you are allowed a college if the college is Government you can deposit your fees within 24 hr of the college allotted to you on the site, and if the college is semi-government you have to pay on the college website.
