UVCE Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

It was the most prestigious university of Karantaka and the oldest engineering college in the state as well. This was a government college and the teachers were exceptional. They were instrumental in moulding me into the professional that I'm today.

The best about college is placement and the bad is it lacks in infrastructure.

It's a fortune to study in this college. It taught me read the life than books.

Good college as it is one of the old college (1917 started) bad thing is infrastructure and improper maintenance and some negligence because it is a govt college, placements are good compared to other colleges.

I chose UVCE for multiple reasons which are as follows:1. It is the first engineering college in Karnataka (1917) and fifth in India. It was started by Sir Visvesvaraya himself. It was a vast alumni network considering it's over 100 years old.2. It is a fully funded government college. The fees is minimal and it admits students only through CET. The peer group is good as they have to clear CET to get a seat.3. As mentioned before the entire fees for 4 years is around 1 Lakh for general merits. It is lower for category students.4. The lecturer at UVCE are highly qualified. Almost everyone has a PHD and several years of experience. Some of the recommended books in syllabus are written by the lecturers themselves.5. The main reason to join UVCE is the placements. Circuital branches have an average package of 6 to 8 lakhs. During my year the highest was 49L. Core branches have a lower average of around 5L. Some of the major companies include Dell, HP, Royal Enfield, Rolls Royce, Textron, Rakuten, Comviva, Texas Instruments, SAP, VMware, Wipro, ABB, Cisco, Oracle, Manhatten Associates, Vedanta, Godrej, etc

Our infrastructure is not that good since it's 100+years old but now it's renewed since government has sanctioned 25crores. Positive thing is placements are the best in our college.

Very positive except hostels. College is very well excellent superb. Comming to hostels is a very poor one.

Admission did take some time as the 3rd round results of KCET was announced late.I had no clue about engineering colleges because I'm the first generation in my family to go to college so neither my parents knew about college nor did, This college UVCE was suggested to me by my uncle. In 3rd round I was alloted this college then I went to join the college. And then the routine procedures of submitting the necessary documents and paid the fees and got admitted to UVCE

It has both good and bad remarks. The college is really good when it comes to placements, extracurricular activities held in college. However, the college will have to improve itself when it comes to the declaration of results, coordination among the faculties of the college.

The positive feedback about our college is that we get lots of placement which is good. Also studying in our college is of another level people respect us when they come to know that we are Are the students of uvce. We score good marks here, I studing here and getting marks is not that difficult the only thing we need to work on is extra skills for placement.
