Course Curriculum Overview

Our Course curriculum is very good and it's almost at par with the curriculum of IISC and the IIT's (but little outdated syllabus), We have 2 internals in each semester and a final exam at the end of each semester

Placement Experience

Placements are the big positive of UVCE. 100+ companies visit our college for placements. There is no internship provided by college. During placements if any body wants to join as intern can do that and apply for placements later

College Events

There are 4 fests organised in our college Two in each semester One being technical and the other being cultural And there are many other mini fests that happen with many students participating with enthusiasm All the 4 main fests are intercollegiate fests so students from all over the city from different colleges do come and participate in the fest

Hostel Facilities

No I have not opted for hostel as I'm a dayscholar and I don't have much idea about hostel but heard from my friends that the hostel is not in good shape and the renovation works will start soon to get it back to life

Admission

Admission did take some time as the 3rd round results of KCET was announced late.I had no clue about engineering colleges because I'm the first generation in my family to go to college so neither my parents knew about college nor did, This college UVCE was suggested to me by my uncle. In 3rd round I was alloted this college then I went to join the college. And then the routine procedures of submitting the necessary documents and paid the fees and got admitted to UVCE

Faculty

Most of the professor's have doctorates so u can understand how qualified the teachers are. The lecturers are very interested in educating the students.The faculty is educated to that extent that they can teach any topic other than their subject

My plan is to work for 2 years and continue with higher studies and focus in research based area which increases the job security and salary

The Reality of Studying Here

Placement Experience:

from 6th Sem u are eligible to sit for the placement. A lot of companies come to the college i don't focus on company name my focus will be on the CTC and average is 4-5LPA and the highest package was 20LPA. but very less student get placed because they don't have proper technical skill and the one who have skills they are placed in our college. before getting a Degree i need a job from Campus Placement this is my plan after getting Degree let's see I haven't made any plans right now.

My Real Experience as a First Year DSAI Student at IIIT Dharwad

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

MVJ college of engineering has a good Placement record, for branches like CS and ECE The Placement activities are handled by Placement Cell, which begins preparing students from 6th semister through aptitude session, communication skills etc They maintain good score like 60% and above academic percentage the students are eligible for placement drive from 6th semister onwards At my time at college some 10 companies visited the campus Highest package from my batch is 5L per Annum Most placement are in roles like developer and Networking side for core branches they get opportunities in design, testing and maintenance roles Overall MVJ provides good placement opportunities

A Bangalore blend of academics , placements and campus life

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

Bold, Beautiful and Brutal shades of UVCE

• I got my seat through KCET exam, so basically in my order priority UVCE was the 5th college and I knew that I'll not get the other 4 colleges because I knew my score, cutoffs of those colleges and my category reservations too well. Why I chose this college was simple, I knew for a fact that it was affordable. • Coming to the rejection part it was never like doorstep rejection it was just the feeling of shit-I-wanted-it. As they say, whatever happens it happens for something good, and now that I see how the colleges I happened to get are charging, I feel good for not getting in. • The admission process began when KEA website announced the 2nd rounds results of KCET and opened the admission portal. We had to pay fees to the KEA portal and generate a payment receipt/challan after that we'd recieve a admission order, then we had to go to the allotted college and show the admission order and go with our attested documents signed sealed and present it and tada admission done....Read More

I got admission in university of visvesvaraya college of engineering bangalore through K-CET in 1st round.
