The faculties are of good expertise in their fields as it is the best college for planning in India. The course is more practical related. So we have studio and theory subjects. In studio we have reviews which are marked on a weekly basis. Theory exam is conducted once a semester. There are no internal exams and the internal marks are given through assignments. Half of the studio marks are given in external jury.
Right now, the faculty student ratio stands at an average of every 7 students having 1 faculty.
Faculties are the highlight of the college making it one of its kind. All faculties are approachable and help you widening your thinking spectrum, not only in academics but also in your interests.
Like a coin has two sides there are faculties who dont make sense at all and some who dwell on being biased. but well finding them is a 1% probability
The faculty to student ratio is okay. As a planning student its really hard to keep up with the technical work most times. You need to know many softwares to be able to work efficiently here. GIS, AutoCad, Photoshop and Excel are a must. We have two exams per year. The mid sem and final sem exams. Count depends on how many subjects we have in our syllabus that semester but mostly its around 4 to 5. The externals are usually either 50 marks or 100. Easy to score because we also have alot of internals. However, studio work is hard. It takes up all your time and energy. And the survey days are harder.
5 faculties per studio class and some classes have 2 or even just 1 faculties so the ratio is around 1:50 to 1:10 . The exams are not that hard but people do tend to fail due to lack of time and other issues
The faculties here are well experienced and guide us through a proper curriculum which kinda stressful yet it is what we need learn. The practice based learning is the base thing which actually differentiate us from the engineering course.
Faculty:
The faculty members are extremely qualified and are very experienced. Even the junior faculties are helpful. Our students to faculty ratio is pretty good of 1:7. Every faculty over here are very helpful and approachable. They are intimidating at times. But since our course includes a major portion of its project as group, it teaches us how an real firm or an office will be. Interaction here with others students, seniors and facilities here is very important
College had a very good professors. In the later years, the curriculum and the professors who teach them are very good.
Dislikes
Due to various reasons, there is decline in the quality of professors in recent years.
Faculty:
The faculty to student ratio is quite decent. Each class has 3-5 faculty members based on the studio. But in the recent years, there is a decline in the quality of hiring new faculty. It is clearly affecting the performance of college at various stages. But the faculty in the final years is really good.
Every design studio has 5 faculties and 50 students which gaves a good a faculty per 10 students ratio.
The really experienced faculty helps us keep the spproach practical and constructable. The faculty is not that understanding which is maybe a necessity of the course but we learn a lot by the design exercises they formulate.
Faculty is good and highly qualified and experiencd
