Jesus and Mary College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I think the main subject curriculum is just fine but the AEC SEC and VAC criteria is just not as productive as it may seem . Teaching hindi COMPULSORY to students of all courses is just not right. Also, SEC classes on saturdays take up too much time and do not let students induldge in other self productive activities .

Placements are offered in my college from top companies such as accenture, godrej, etc. Placements range from 6-9 lpa on average. Highest package is around 12 lacs but i am not sure. My plans after this degree are doing masters from a good university or working for 2 years.

The College offers both internship as well as placement opportunities to the students . Yearly, the college hosts an internship fair for the students to have Live interviews with the companies at the fair. This gives us a real world experience with the job markets in Accounting , Finance , Consulting and Marketing. The placement cell at JMC is an active society wherein students are provided the opportunity to sit for placements in a professional format . The average package at Jesus and Mary College for the Commerce Dept is about 800000 indian rupees , which is an upper edge compared to various Delhi University colleges.

JMC has great placement, with highest package of INR 24.3 LPA and a median salary of INR 6.1 LPA, with 229 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate students placed. From 3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements.

Since I am enrolled in BA programme the practical exposure is not great its mostly theory based learning. Hence, joining internships is essential as it gives you an understanding of the real world. We have our end sems twice in one year, if you are well prepared it's not difficult since the paper pattern is direct

My course in particular which is economics has specific aspects in its curriculum which has really piqued my interest from the beginning. The curriculum includes examples which are based on real life applications and it really helps you in reality.

for the first semester the course curriculum has basically been a revision of highschool with some additional information, however from what we have been told by our seniors we do get better more detailed concepts later on. the areas that require improvement are firstly the professors, we need better qmgenuinely knowledgeable people to depend on, and the curriculum to be more modernised and include vocationalisation.

From 3 rd year onwards students will eligible for placement.mostly low packages are getting .students are not interested in campus placement because of packages I think.My plan is to focus on competitive examination

There is a placement cell in the college. In first year you cannot be a part of it however they do inform you about dofferent types of internships etc. second year onwards you can be a part of the placement cell. The average package is 6-8 LPA.

from third year students beckme eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Flipkart, and other big and renound companies have taken students from our college. the average package is 6,00,000 per annum.
