Everything you need to know about Weschool

Students view on faculties and grading system being followed in the campus

I chose this course because it is the flagship couse of welingkar and has the most diversity in the class which enhances the peer to peer learning. The curriculum is inspired from IIM B curriculam. It is through and gives various options as electives. The faculies are from prestigious institutions like IIM A, IIM B, JBIMS, etc and has great corporate experience which helps us in learning real life examples and norms. Although some marketing faculties are not so great, they are just there and needs to be replaced. The faculty student ratio is 1:15. The teaching method is mostly case discussion based (Harvard) and student presentations. The teaching focuses highly on communication skills and problem solving skills. It is a trimester based course and each trimester is of 2 months on an average. Exams are not so difficult to pass, it can be cleared through class leanings and a short revision.

Internship opportunities provided by the college in various organizations

the stipend is on an avg 10,000 and less. Companies are Adani, Amazon, deloitte, Morgan Stanley, GEP, Gartner, Cognizant, etc. Under another live project, GCL, real life projects are provided for experience and industry mentors guidance is also provided for the same.

What are the various companies visiting the campus for placements, average and highest package being offered?

From 4th trimester the final placemnet process begins and lasts till April (6th trimester). Big 4s, MNC, colgate, nestle, amul, icici bank, hdfc bank, amazon, IT companies, and almost 150 companies comes to the campus every year for recruitments. the avg package is 12 lacs. and highest is 28 lacs. Almost 95% students gets placed and rest of them has mostly opted out. My plan is to join BFSI sector after my degree.

Fees structure and financial assistance being provided by the college

the fees of 2022 batch is 13lakh for full couse and for 2023 batch it is 14 lakhs and can be funded by banking partners like ICICI and BOB at less interest rates. In case of financial assistance, you need to talk to the accounts department for any concession possible. this is considered only in rare cases and scolarships are provided by banks and not the institutions if any.

College events, various clubs and facilities available in campus

Life at campus is great. There is no centralised hostel but hostel facility is availble at different places in mumbai. There are numerous events in which one can take part like Ranbhoomi, Webiz fest, IMPACT cricket tournament, Smart India Hackathon, etc. All the reading material required dusring the course is available in the library and other collection of books and websites as well. The entire campus is airconditioned and has a sports room and gym facility.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

The admission process consists of form filling, profile shortlisting, PIQ test, essay writting and PI, in that sequence. Form consists of basic data like 10, 12, graduation percentage, preference of courses offered, entrance exams scores, work experience and other details. The basic cut off of CAT is 80 and CMAT is 90, although the cut off differes for different courses that welingkar offers. Students are shorlisted on the basis of all the parameters for the next round which is a Pre-Interview Questionnare (PIQ) test which consists of 4 sections with a total duration of 1hr. It is a MCQ test which includes situation based questions, preferences and priorities etc. The next round is essay writing, wherein candidates are given 15 mins to write an essay on a very common topic. The next is interview which is based on the profile and mostly focused on academic questions. All the details are visible on the website and conveyed through the mail and a mobile no is also provided for assistance.

Application process was a challenging as cut offs during my time was high through cmat and their were 2 rounds one was preinterview questionnaire PIQ and another was personal interview which was conducted virtually due to covid now there is proper GAPI round offline for studnets and the process was seamless with no errors.

Admission:

The minimum eligibilty criteria is minimum 50% in graduation. The application form is available on the website of welingkar and form costs around 3000 and the dates of filling the form is also mentioned on the website. The cutoff of various entrance exams is around 75% and above for admission in this college. The entrance exams which the college accepts are multiple like CAT,XAT,CMAT,etc and the level of difficulty of exams vary every year. The admission process consists of GD followed by PI.

Admission:

To get admission in Welingkar College one must have minimum 50% in graduation. The college accepts multiple competitive exams score like CAT,XAT,CMAT,etc. The information related to college and admission criteria is mention on it's website. The admission process consists of GD followed by PI. General questions related toh one's education background is asked in PI and normal general knowledge topics for GD. The level of exams are average and little knowledge will do to clear the admission process. The process is conducted smoothly as they allot time slots to students.

Admission:

Eligibility is that you have to be graduate and should have degree at the time of admission. Application form is made available on the the college website. Fees for application form was Rs. 2500. Admission forms are generally opened in 2 phases form October to January and From Feb to March. Reservation is not avaialable. As CAT or CMAT score is available so exams are conducted on yearly basis. Difficulty level of CAT is much higher than the CMAT Instead of only GD and interview, college can considering giving Case Studies or conducting any other case study

The official CMAT cut-off for Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), Mumbai, for the 2025 academic year has not been released. As per available data, Welingkar Mumbai has considered CMAT percentiles ranging between 70% to 85% for admission into its PGDM program.

Candidates with a minimum 50% in the Degree exam from a recognized University, completed by June 2025. The candidate should have taken CAT (2024) conducted by the IIMs for the year specified in the advertisement (IIMS have no role in the Welingkar admission process) and/or/ XAT (2025) and/or ATMA and/or CMAT (2025) and/or GMAT (2022 onwards)

The total fee of Welingkar Mumbai MBA is INR Six lacs seventy thousand approximately. The CAT Cutoff percentile required for admission is 70 to 80 (depending on specialisations). The admission is done on different entrance examination basis such as CAT/XAT./ MAT.

WRC informs students about various competitions as per relevance and domain. Students shall adhere to the process, timelines, and eligibility criteria for registration / participation as laid down by the competition organisers.

The admission in the PGDM course is based on the CAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ GMAT and GD&PI. The admission on  MMS, Ph.D., Executive, and part-time PG courses is based on the entrance exam MAH-MBA/ MMS CET/ CAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ GMAT and Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET). But now the institute allows candidates to apply without CMAT exam scores and will accept CAT, XAT, ATMA, and GMAT. The selection of candidates for Welingkar Mumbai admission 2024 is based on the set cut-off criteria and entrance-based.

Graduate in any faculty from a recognized University. Students who have appeared for the final year last semester's degree examination & passed all previous semester examinations can also apply. Their admission will be confirmed on submission of their final year degree mark sheet/certificate. Admission date has not been announced, entrance process is ongoing.
