Course Curriculum Overview

The course has been renamed under Mumbai University guidelines but it is equivalent and similar to a Full-Time MBA course. Learning aspects include Statistics, Operations Management, Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Development, Financial Accounting etc. My own decision was to pursue HR as that field has been a long time aim and passion for me. The curriculum deals with Major aspects of real world organisational problems and solutions that occur on a day-to-day basis wherein plethora of available case studies & reference materials helps the student to get more in-depth knowledge. Curriculum improvement can be done by increasing regular interactions with industry experienced professionals and keeping in touch with the humongous alumni base. There is a mid term examination of 40 marks and a semester exam of 60 marks. 40 marks paper is for internal purposes and 60 marks paper includes university bases subjects in 3rd and 4th semester.

There are a lot of events that are organized during the entire course. There are the main events like the college fest Alegria and the Fresher's Day, Farewell Party, Cultural Day and Sports Day. Apart from that, there are several seminars, webinars, club events, Alumni meets, and competitions that are hosted where real corporate leaders are invited to guide the students. The students are given the opportunity to participate and expand their skill set. The campus is big enough to explore and small enough to not get lost. The library of the college is open for the students to sit and read before and after college hours as well. There are various clubs or committees which students can join, like HR Club, Finance Club, Literature Club, Corporate Relations Committee, Social Service Committee, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is qualified and experienced in both corporate and teaching. They are very supportive and approachable. Each faculty is given a set of students to mentor and the faculty is always available for their mentees. Apart from that, the term exams are held on time as per the University guidelines. The course curriculum covers all the relevant topics as mentioned in the University syllabus and the exam paper is set in line with the curriculum. The course curriculum not only provides theoretical knowledge but also gives practical guidance which is super helpful.

Placement Experience

Placement season starts from the third semester. The college does have a dedicated faculty to guide the students with the placement process as in the preparation of resumes and mock interviews, there are no big companies actually coming to the campus though. Students do reach out to the alumnus for placement opportunities. But since the college is a 'girls only' institute, some of the alumni are not in a position to help because they have chosen to opt-out of an active career in the industry. The degree and knowledge acquired here is however enough for the students to get themselves placed well and their own hard work and perseverance help them move ahead in life

Course Curriculum Overview

As mentioned earlier, some of the facilities are ones with decades of experience in the industry and teaching experience in Jamnalal Bajaj. However, they are not keen on guiding students with their career choices. Sometimes it appears as if they are coming here just because they are made to, by the Bajaj Management. The in-house teaching staff was not that great in terms of industry experience. They could barely provide guidance with regards to the theory topics. No creative means of teaching.

MMS is structured to provide a perfect combination of in-depth conceptual understanding and practical insights to tackle real-world business issues. The program comprises of 4 semesters spanning over 2 academic years, with specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, and Systems. The present in-take of the program is 130 seats. The overarching objective of the program is to develop effective managers and leaders who shall contribute to business and society.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for (MMS)open category is 175000 annually, which according to me is feasible. One can pay fees through neft bank transfer, imps etc. The college is transparent about the break down of the fees structure. No additional charges once you paid the fees but yess you do have to pay for (unofficially) freshers and all.
