Course Curriculum Overview
I am in PGDM E Business, honestly my first choice of course was PGDM Core but I couldn't get that and my next best allternative was this This program is a balance of technology and management, so it gives you a upper hand in real world We have a trimester pattern as in we have 3 trimesters in one year and 6 overall, which makes eash trimester of hardly 3 months that is the worst thing Due to 6 trimesters we have exams every 3 months, which is very hectic
Placement Experience
The college claims false details about average packages on their website The placements for Summer Internship are Pathetic and FInal Placements are also poor They claim average placement 12.5 lac but in reality average placement is 8-9 lacs So ROI is very bad no doubt they try to bring good companies in the college and list of those comapnies are mention in their official website They claim 100% placement assistance
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for 2 years of PGDM is 14,04,000 Rs and it can be paid in installments There are consessions for reservation candidates which will be mention on website along with this hefty fees, there are certain hidden costs such as they charge you 2500 for each re exam there are penalties for library and reading room
Campus Life
Welingkar has a decent Infrastructure It has no Campus as such There are only 4 lifts for 900 students which is really really poor management The canteen of the college is very small and can not accomodate even 100 people Library is good, classrooms are good There is only one sports event "Runbhomi" held in a year, apart from this there are no other co curicular activities
Admission
Eligibility of the course is that you should have minimum 60% marks in your graduation, 10, 11 and 12 You should meet the criteria for qualification of entrance exams and after that you need to crack GD and PI Application form for the college can be found on official website and fees for it 3000 Rs and you can apply for it in 2 phases Overall the process is moderate
Interview Experience
After applying for the college you are supposed to give a short test which 4-5 generic questions related to the course which you are choosing Then come GD , my topic for GD was Digital India. In the GD there were 8 people and after that everybody has to give PI PI is generally about yourself, your work experience (if any), your co curricular activities and some questions about your selected course
