The Life in Sona College of Arts and Science

Likes

The Environment of the college is very pleasant and the staffs are very friendly.
The Placements offered here is very useful to all the students so that everyone can get a chance to job.

Dislikes

Hostel facility available here is somewhat poor because of the food and other facilities.

Faculty:

The college has an good faculty to student ratio. The staffs here are very friendly and is very enthusiastic to teach the students in a very understandable manner. I personally like my Head of Department who has been a great inspiration for us.

The campus is very neat and clean and the environment is perfect for the students they conduct many cultural fest which helps students to enjoy their time all the faculties are friendly with their students the clg management is good enough the cantee

Dislikes

Some of their rules like attendance and a few staffs are bit irritating but not much transport for students are not that much good as don’t provide transportation to some particular areas food provided during some cultural events are not much good en

Faculty:

The faculties are very engaging and interesting English mam is very friendly with the students English mam I don't know their name but she is very perfect in her duties and has a good relationship with the students Some of the lab staffs are very rude with the students and annoying We have 2 semester exams and 3 CIA exams

I Strongly Feel That This College is Very Strong In Labarotaries And Consists Of 36 Research and Developement Centres which Was Initiated By Our Former President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam
So This College Also Consists Of 20 Club , These club works under different Theme , Those Who willing Can Join the Club and can develop your own way of interest

Yes ! This Is Important , Coming To the Placement , The Faculties are well trained with helping the students to get placed in almost all companies , they Also works and assist with us for career Guidance,also Runs BAsic Aptitude, language Placement
Infratructure and Amenities are well Good With Common Library at the centre of The campus , Even Each Department has its own departmental Library student can expose to it

Faculty:

Friendly faculties all over the campus , Guiding through the career but also the personal developement Course Structure : Im Doing My 2nd year civil engineering It consists of 4 Departmental subject And 2 Science Subjects That are Maths and chemistry Students Who are of 1st Year has only 1 departmental subject and remaining science subjects EXAM SYSTEMS : Usually 4 year Contains 8 Semester Before each semester We Have 3 CIE ( Continous internal Evaluation) Test which is basically like a cycle test One should pass this test with atleast 50% if he/she fails they can apply retest with 250rp SEMESTER MARKS AND SCHEMES : We Write Semester Exams for 100 Marks And then it is converted it into 60 marks and remaining 40 is calculated from all 3 CIE Test , we can also apply forImprovement For CIE TEst , This can really Boost UpThe Semester Marks And GPA

All the staffs in my department are friendly nature, and well skilled. There would be 6 subjects per semester at average, and for first years there is a NMEC which is from other department. 2 semester per year

Honour review of SONA

Infrastructure is well clean and awesome for students who studied
Hostel and classroom are highclass rather than compared to other colleges in salem

Dislikes

Hostel food and canteen foods are poor and catering service are too not gud and not satisfied

Faculty:

All the faculty members are well trained and complete PhD and doctorate in their related subjects. They conduct every month a exams like internal and assesment test to improve students studies. All the faculties are very liberal to students so no worry about strict college is as well as very liberal for the students. None of the staffs were disliked by the students. Some exams are difficult and some is too easy . Major of the students are pass in their exams very ekast amount will fail.

In Sona college working all the teachers are qualified with PHDs and they are very knowledgeable persons and kindly persons.in project team task should be distributed across our software team in order to plan, track, and release high quality output
Placements are good and the organization's are attracting great companies that are improving both the students careers as well as the college reputation. They provide good scholarship and loan facility to avail for merit and sports students into the

Dislikes

Application forms will be given in the college offline and I received approximately 60000 reservation benefits. Some of the staffs are very strict and harsh to the students. Management are very strict and put fine for simple reasons to the students

Faculty:

The faculty and student ratios of Sona college of technology is 1:18. The faculty a dn students relationship is very strong in all like studies as well as personal. The faculty approach is nice in all the situation which we will handling for example explaining doubts in all the subjects they know. One of my favourite faculty is Karthick. He is so kind to all, his teaching behaviour is very unique when compared to other faculties. He also motivate others to participate events and join in all clubs conducted by Sona college individually. Another one is saravanakumar, he is teaching us motivational class. He conducts many events for us to participate and we participated many events and got appreciation. The faculty I don't like was maths mam. She always irritating something with us and pointout one person to discourage.. They will conduct daily cycle test in morning. The test are very easy because they train us previous day for practically and theoritically they will train well

Teacher and student relationship is great. The exam is held at mgr university Chennai. The exam is average sometimes and also difficult sometime. Mostly 15 members fail to clear the exam. They pass in the next arrear exam

Interaction of teachers with students is very good

Dress code is not satisfied for students

Faculty:

Faculty are mostly interacting with everyone but few of them are use to scold for unwanted things. And as I see my few faculty members are sweet and soft and helping us to study and they give extra questions and materials
