Placement Experience:
Placements are major concern for most students, and here's my honest take on how it works for Civil Engineering students at RNSIT
At RNSIT, students usually become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester (i.e., the final year of the course). Some early shortlisting rounds or traning sessions may begin as early as the 6th semester.
The college provides placements traning programs including aptitude tests, mock interviews, soft skill development,and resume building. This helps students become more confident before facing actual recruiters.
For core Civil Engineering roles,placements is comparatively limited , but the college has been improving year after year. Some companies that have visited in recent years include;
>Sobha developers
>L&T Constructions
>Shapoorji Pallonji
>Prestige Group
>JMC Projects
>TCE (Tata Consulting Engineers)
In addition to core companies, many civil students also appear for IT companies and non-core roles , such as;
> Infosys
>TCS
>Wipro
>Campgemini
>Cognizant
>DXC Technology
This flexibility is big plus,especially for those who are open to exploring software or management roles.
