Various types of scholarships are given here which helps students economically.
Good faculty team which makes it easier for the students to understand concepts.
Our hostel room condition too good , and environment is very good.

Dislikes

Admission process is not so long easy process but in admission clg behavior not well.
Our hostel meal is very poor condition, and hostel cook bad man.

Good College with some catch

Likes

Teachers who were involved in Research have knowledge enough and are very helpful.

Placement Experience:

As of now the placements are very poor . Only TCS have come in the year 2023-2024. No other companies have come for on campus placements . Also the average percentage is less than 30%. And most of pf them are non campus

KGEC in my eyes

Likes

First of all the teachers and students are so interactive , teachers are strict about study and specially the Electronics department and other core departments
There are many (15 in number) clubs like sports ,cultural and technical clubs those are main reason for maintained extracurricular activities of college
The annual Festival of the college Espektro, which includes three parts quixine (food fest) , Techtix (Tech fest) ,Exotica (Cultural fest)

Dislikes

Lack of new technologies like new models or machines or electronic devices for progress of students in study purposes

Placement Experience:

Placement records are good, an average of 90% + students are placed in the history, and internship offers also come from different companies, core, and noncore it companies mainly reach us also some nmcs along with Microsoft Google Amazon also reached us, till now 150+ companies reached us and hired 20000+ students in past this year also placement records are good with 93% placement, I will go for some it company or will open own start-up

In my opinion for other colleges in West Bengal our kalyani government engineering College are best.

Likes

Faculty teaching methods and approach to improve your skills to telling and motivated.
Collage culture programs involved in fest program.
Regular classes conducted and regular lab conducted.

Dislikes

Some company Placement criteria are very highly required for your qualification and percentage in 10th,12th,and college grade.
Collage campus some areas are not clean. And not improvement this area.
Some building infrastructure are not good this present time.

Placement Experience:

1. For 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2. Name of the companies visited in our college - L&T,TCS,WOOD, MICROSOFT,WIPRO etc. 3. The highest and average package as per company is - 12Lpa-4Lpa. 4. Year of 2023 for placement percentage in our college of the 45%. 5. Any one core government companies for job and gate exam through achieve PSU.

KGEC: an unbiased diary

I liked my hostel life. We hostellers have become a family.
I enjoyed different festival of our college.
I enjoyed teching style of our faculties.

Dislikes

Placement ratio could have been better. Getting a job through campus placement is very uncertain.
Road conditions within the college is not good.
Different building of our college is very scattered.

Placement Experience:

1. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. 2. Last year companies like Tata Power, L&T, TCS, Tech Mahindra visited and total numbers of offers made are around 150. 3. Highest on campus package was 12 LPA. Average package is around 4LPA. 4. Percentage of students getting placement is 60%. 5. I am targeting for placement as well as focusing on different competitive examinations like GATE and ESE.

My KGEC Journey

Likes

Environment is too good and AQI is very low here. If anyone is staying in this college is free from lung disease
The cultural fest and the annual sports is also very eye catching
Faculties are also great and helpful persons.

Dislikes

The streets inside the campus is very poor and the authority also neglects this
The campus has no fencing anyone can get inside at any time
The drainage system and the bushes growing two sides of the road the not good

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year students are eligible for placements. They are already 8 companies visited in our college and more than 80 students are already placed. And 35 students till placed in core sector the highest package of 8Lpa at HPL. Till the placement hasn't completed yet but 9 LPA is the highest with 3.5 LPAavg package. Approx 30 % students in each department is already placed till now. I will go for the campus placement but my goal is to crack group a services

Getting into a top government engineering college was my dream and I was very happy when it became true.

Dislikes

Teachers are only interested in course studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are arranged by the students and are approved by the TNP cell head. It will be good for the placement if your CGPA is 8 or more. You need to focus on Aptitude and current affairs for placement process.

The students are eligible for placement till 7th semester. The companies like TCS, TATA POWER, L&T, WIPRO are come into our campus. The highest package of our college is 42LPA which is published 4 years ago by the college. Here more than 75% of students getting placed here. After getting the degree I want to pursue M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur.

Very low fees of college is a boon for weaker economical background students
The campus has a good conectivity via train with kolkata. 1.5 hr from sealdah

Dislikes

Old infrastructure of the college building and classroom, 3rd class library, lazy staffs
lack of maintenace and cleanliness of the campus, toilets, water tap. No book shop around. Lunch good hotels not nearby,
