Because I was interested in this course. The faculty are very friendly and easy to communicate with , they clear our doubts even after the lectures. Every faculty Is well qualified. Every year we have 2 sem.
I chose this course as it has future applications in IoT and also gives a basic understanding of computer programming in the first year. The faculty: student ratio is 1:44. Almost all our teachers are Ph.D. Scholars in their respective fields and are having excellent teaching methods. They use virtual labs to demonstrate experiments, use PPT's to make learning simple, and give you a lot of free certification courses you can do to stand unique among others. Term Exams come after every 5/6 months. Passing the exams is not a big deal if you pay attention in class and do the home assignments on time.
Course curriculum was good and we got to learn different things which are required for you when you join corporate world. Also the faculty members were so supportive that we can go directly ask them about any problems we faced during curriculum.
Some of the faculties are really good and the course curriculum is well organised.
The teachers are well experienced. The faculty is very helpful and is easily approchable. As the college is now autonomous,it has its own curriculum course. The college also organises industrial visits for students. The academics is also pretty good.
We used to pay fees by cheque on half yearly basis, the fees was 4500 rupees during those days which was in a way feasible for most of the students.we need to deposit the cheque at the registrar office at a scheduled date and time. Which includes college fees gym fees and library fees
.
Curriculum was vast, syllabus was updated a year ago. Faculties were highly qualified with most having PhD in their relevant domain, sound knowledge of the subject and extra oridinary teaching skills. Also helpful in your research or project work.
The fee structure in the college was very feasible it was 42000_45000 per semester the mode of payment that the college accepted was demand draft at that time.there were no additional fees other than exam fees yes the college provided transparency in the fee breakdown

As you may be aware, KJ Somaiya is autonomous, so the curriculum and coursework are both flexible. Furthermore, the exams will end earlier, resulting in longer vacations that can be used effectively for internships or summer courses. Because of its autonomous status, a large number of companies come to recruit.
If you score 50% overall, you are eligible to apply to all companies. Whatever your field, the same set of companies will come, and if you aren't eligible, you can apply from elsewhere.
Having known some people studying in these colleges, I can tell you that both colleges are really good in their own ways. But, you should consider the following before you make any decision:
Categories | EE at KJ Somaiya | ETC at Vivekananda (MU) |
Course Fee | 13.50 lakhs | 4.52 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 12 LPA | 9-10 LPA |
Average CTC | 5-8 LPA | 4.5 - 5 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | L&T, TCS, Phillips, Schneider Electric, etc. | JP Morgan, Tata Power, Mercedes, Microsoft, etc. |
Both the colleges are even. It will finally depend on where your interests lie and what you would like to do. Find out if you are more interested in telecommunications or just core electronics, then choose accordingly.
Electronics will teach you more about electronic components, circuits and other basic ideas that might be required in general electronics. Telecommunications will only give you a deeper understanding of communication technologies.
