The view is very nice .the teachers are so helping in academics. couse is nice.
Location is magnificent the morning and evening view is just awesome
Yah college fees is very good and in it's budget friendly range also in terms of campus jobs the placement rate is okay not so good not so bad and all things are good here and also mamy scholarship available

Dislikes

Talking about the hostels in our college , 3 boys share a room with the average space but the washrooms are dirty and not cleaned regularly.
Faculty to student ration is good for a class of 60 students there is 5 faculties faculties are well qualified interation with faculty is very low or nill, some talk very rudely
Mess facilities are bad- food us too oily and bland in taste

I like the campus it is quite big and very beautiful
faculty's here are quit experience and very friendly
I like the ambience of the campus and cleanliness

Dislikes

outside the college there is nothing to explore
the hospital and market is very far away from the college if you late at night you have not any resource use market facility
the college is in very remote area so most company are not willing to go there for placement

Placement Experience:

when I was in the final year of my B.Tech only 2 company came to our college for placement like L&T and BEL also I passed out in 2023 so that was the peak of job market recession, so in L&T they took aptitute exam for the student then they said we are not hiring any more. BEL has offered 8 student from our college with the package of 11LPA.

The most beautiful collage - GBPIET

Likes

They conduct many fest like josh and goonj
The faculty here is fully qualified and very supportive
The staff of collage are very supportive

Dislikes

There is water shortage once in a week in our collage
They do not a good canteen in campus and also out of the campus
The timing of gate closing is early for girls

Placement Experience:

There comes many companies in our collage but for some specific branches. The mechanical and cse are the two most good branch where company often come and pick students. The name of some companies are adobe,wipro,BEL etc.

GBPIET- A glimpse into nature and education

Likes

The atmosphere and the place where this college is situated is heavenly and soo much into the nature.
Placement team is very good and helps with all types of students with opportunities.
The curriculum is very well designed and the faculty is also top notch being a government college.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is pretty old and the hostel are also damped and overall the college buildings feels very old.
There is no proper facilities for sports and extracurricular activities .
No proper medical facilities available nearby, we have to go 10km away to pauri for basic stuff.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well I chose Computer science and Engineering with specialzation in artificial intelligence and machine learning which has a very robust and up to date curriculam including new subjects like deep learning, soft computing, cloud computing and many more which helps prepare students for the future. The Mid sems of Class tests are conducted twice in a semester and End sem examination is conducted at the end of the semester lasting for 15 days.

Likes

I liked the weather and the campus It is situated in the mountains of uttrakhand
Despite of being in a Remote area Daily use products are available
The seniors are very helpful and the faculty also no excess pressure

Dislikes

The lack of faculty in the college and hostels are not well managed the food is absurd
Management of college is totally bad. No placements
The college doesn't take responsibility of the internships and placement of the students

The course curriculum is relevant. One can easily learn it is not so much confusing it is okayish. The course curriculum contains the real world problem also which were solved during practicals. The time of exam is relevant according to all the universities in the india

Reflection on GBPIET , pauri

Likes

GBPIET is located in pauri , a beautiful hill station in Uttarakhand. The natural surrounding are often praised by students, offering a peaceful environment for studying and a break from city noise .
The campus is equipped with basic facilities such as well - constructed classroom, labs and a library. The college has made strides in improving infrastructure and many students appreciate the modern amenities offered.
The college has disciplined approach to academics and there is support for students interested in research and development. Many students who are inclined towards higher studies or research value this aspects .

Dislikes

Limited placement opportunities here, the overall placement record is sometimes considered average. Students may find that only a few companies visit the campus for recruitment and these may not always offer position in top roles .
The hostel facilities may not always meet the expectations of all the students. Issues like lack of water facilities, inadequate food quality are common concerned among every students.
Due to college location and resources, students may not get as much exposure to the industry trends , internship or corporate interaction compared to colleges situation in major cities like Delhi , Mumbai or Bangalore.

Placement Experience:

Placement rate is average in GBPIET , the placement is good in specific branch like CSE . Students may find that only a few companies visit the campus for recruitment and these may not always offer positions in top industies or high paying roles .

One of the best i can say

Likes

Well this college is located in a very beautiful location in shivalik range of Himalayas but still it needs to work a little bit on its infrastructure like sports facilities
People here including locals and students are very kind and helpful and the faculties available are also very educated and knowledgeable and helpful too
The placement cell needs some changes as alot of potential is still left untreated

Dislikes

Disliked the connectivity from outer worls
Main cities like Delhi and Dehradun aren't connected through out the day

Things everyone knows but nobody tells.

Likes

I like the location and climate of this college.
Attendance criteria is not very strict in this college

Dislikes

College administration is very bad for engineering culture
Hostel in time is 6 PM for the girls and girls are not allowed to go outside college boundary.
It's very cold here in winters but heaters are not allowed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the Uttarakhand technical university. The curriculum is okay for theory purposes but outdated for practical uses in the modern times. The exams here are harder than other colleges in the state.

College is at situated at top of the mountain which is a wonder in itself and is a beautiful place .
There is strict environment for studies and every curriculum activity
The college is strict in its academic activities such as attendence and it's examination

Dislikes

The hostel infrastructure is need to be improved as it gets cold during winter
The sports facilities should be improved as lack of maintainable grounds and fields
Minimum attendance criteria can be reduced to 50 percent

Placement Experience:

Placement have been good till year 2022 but came to declining due to college conflict on its autonomous status but still managed to scrap up placements with average of 4 LPA and higher up to 12 LPA whereas our passout seniors have cracked off campus placement for higher lpas or opted for higher education.

Likes

I like the college beauty and the and the serene beauty
I like the coding culture and the competitive coding environment of this college
Girls and the boys ratio of the college is good but not expressive

Dislikes

Girl ratio in mechanical branch 1 ratio 10
Some necessary facilities are not provided by the college
The transportation facilities from the college is not very good

Placement Experience:

SFrom the 7th sem the student are eligible for campus placement and some of the highly reputative company come for college campus placement . In the batch of 60 student 1/3 of the student get campus placement. My plans after completing this degree from this college is to pursue mba from the abroad
