Government College of Engineering & Textile Technology Behrampore Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

As I am a 1st-year student I don't know about placement in our college. But I have heard from seniors that placement for the CSE department is pretty good.60-65% students placed every year from CSE and 95% student from tt placed every year.

The placement percentage of our college is very good. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM and lots tech companies visit our campus. Students of the 4th year are eligible for placements. The average is around 4 lakhs for CSE students. and there are many of our stdents who got placed from off-campus placement.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester. The placements for Computer Science and Engineering Department and Textile Technology Department are abundant. Many companies visit the college campus to hire students. Some of the notable among them are TCS, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, WIPRO, ADOBE, ORACLE, RAYMOND, WELSPUN, SYNTAX, etc.

From the 6th semester onwards the students start getting placed in companies. The package depends on the company you get placed in and your position. The placement rate is very high for the textile department and for other departments it's around 60-70%. I would go for Mtech in CSE after completing BTech.

I don't have much information about campus placements as I am in 1st year of college. But I have heard from the seniors, the highest package offered was Rs 20 lakhs per annum. The number of companies visited was around 18 as heard from my seniors.

Campus placements are available. Textile technology gets almost 100% placement from campus.CSE gets 80% from campus. And 50-65% placements are available in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from campus. A lot of students appear in GATE, CAT, public service exams, etc. I also plan to appear for GATE and pursue my M.Tech. The highest package is around 6 LPA and companies like Wipro, Mahindra, Capgemini, Cognizant, Dystar, IBM, etc. have employees who passed from our college. Students get to campus from 4th year onward but sometimes 3rd-year students also get job offers sometimes if they can do a good project.

Camus placements are decent good. Students prepare for the job after 3rd year. Many companies like Infosys, TCS, some startups visit colleges every year. 2/3rd of the students placed, and they are doing high paying jobs in the companies.

I choose COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING as my branch and the faculty of this branch is truly awesome. They are very highly experienced and also they are very friendly in nature with us..even all the other three branches have good and highly qualified teachers.

From 3rd year a student becomes eligible for campus placement. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Raymond, etc many companies visit the college for placement. The highest package was 15Lpa and the average is 4-5 LPA. 50-60 percent of students get placement. I plan to sit for the government exams after getting the degree.

We're in the 21st century and today everything's about technology. It's seen in almost every aspect of modern life. I am into textile technology and want to make a future in IT itself. The faculty: student ratio is 4:30, but they ensure that everyone is clear about the topic. As it's a well-known and reputed institute in the surrounding the qualification of all faculties are M.E./M.TECH and P.hD Pursuing. Currently, the education system is online due to pandemics but then too there is no degradation of teaching. After every lecture on the subject, the quiz is conducted related to the topic so that the faculty can understand student understanding related to the topic. Also, revision classes are conducted according to the timetable. About the exams, we have basically Assignments Test, Internal Assessment Tests, and Prelims to make us prepare for finals. We have enough writing practice due to all exams.
