All things to be considered before taking admission in BIT

Likes

The facilities available are good enough for average people,mess food is also average.
Initially seniors are strict enough to survive but as the time passes they are becoming friendly.
Faculty members of college are very supportive you will love to explore the campus

Dislikes

College will not providing any gym or sports facilities.
You have to study on your own through you tube videos
The college campus is so big that you will get tired to going lecture hall from hostel

After 3rd year students are eligible for placement the companies visited are google,jindal,TCS, aakash,PWetc.the highest package offered was 25LPA and the average was 5-6LPA.the place percentage was 60-70% because there are students who is preparing for civil services,GATE,etc.My plan was to crack GATE and get placed in one of the PSU's.

College life review BIT Sindri

Likes

The Roi of this college is excellent especially if you consider btech in core branch
The professors here encourage the students to always go for internship opportunities and are very conscious about our performance.
The interactions here with the seniors is very formal which provide us with experience for our professional life.

Dislikes

Being a state govt college it doesnt recieve funds properly as a result the campus is not maintained very nicely as it should be though it the campus size is enormous.
The mess food is not up to the mark and doesnt taste very well
The infrastructure is very old and is not being maintained

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus here is very comprehensive and not very vast the topics are covered by the teacher in the given time frame. Being very accurate to the respective branches. The academics trains us enough to grab internship opportunities.

My college BIT SINDI

Likes

I like my large College campus which is about 450 acres.
I like the greenery here and senior junior interaction.
I love the sports events organised like football.

Dislikes

Hostel is not so clean and mess food is bad.
Our labs do not have modern equipments for experiment.
Toilets and bathroom are not clean here and are dirty.

Placement Experience:

Placement of our college is on the better side for core branches but for circuit branches or placement is suffering a little bit. From 7th semester students are eligible for the placement drive. Our average packages is about 8 lakh and highest package is about 50 lakh. Almost every student gets placed in core branches.

Likes

College have very big campus of around 453 acres.
College have different clubs for extra curricular activities.
Variety in different courses with good placement

Dislikes

College is situated in forest area , disconnect from main market
Lack of labs equipment for research and training
Cutoff goes very low so lack of talented students

From 7th semester student become eligible for campus placement. And from 5th semester student can get the internship from the companies that came in this college. TCS recruit most of the of The eligible student who sit in the placement cell. Percentage of a student getting placed is 85%

Likes

I like the way of teaching of our professors.
Our placement is above average than any private college which is about 8 lacs
Our college campus is very big and full of greenery

Dislikes

Aur College campus is not well maintained and clean
No 24/7 electricity services available at hostel and no other alternatives
Water scarcity is very common in our hostel

Placement of core branches are good enough with average package of about 8 lakh but in these years circuit branches are suffering. Companies for circuit branches are TCS Wipro etc and for core branches are Tata Steel Vedanta JSW are the top recruiter. Our highest package is about 50 LPA. Placement percentage is approximately 100.

REALITY OF BIT SINDRI

Likes

College campus is very big with 450 acres approx with greenery.
Attendance for classes is not mandatory but labs are compulsory.
We get important questions before examination so difficulty level is average.

Dislikes

Labs do not have enough well equipped equipments for experiment.
Aur college buildings have old infrastructure.
Our girls hostel closes at 8:00 p.m. which is very early.

Students are eligible from 7th semester for their campus placements. Companies like TCS Infosys wipro for circuit branches and Tata Steel jsl my companies for core branches. There is approximately 100% placement with average package of 7.5 lakhs. Our highest packages approx 50 lakh. I will pursue job in core branches after my degree.

I like the hostel of the colleges because of its infrastructure
Campus area is very big as it is almost 400 acre
My college situated near the railway station

My Colleges is surrounded by the forest
There is no big market and we have to travel 25 km for shopping
There is many restriction by the seniors

Companies like Microsoft Vedanta Samsung TCS Accenture L&T came to our college for campus placement. TCS provide the highest number of placement. Percentage of student getting place is 85% my plan after getting degrees placed in the Vedanta that is my dream company

There is very restriction in this college.
Seniors are taking raging of the junior.
There is no special playground for the sports.

Placement Experience:

Placement of this college is good as many companies arrived in my college like L&T, Vedanta, Microsoft, TCS digital, Samsung. Highest package of our college is 49 lakh per anum. TCS provide the highest number of offer to the candidate who seat in the interview round. From 5th semester student becam eligible for campus placement. Percentage of student getting placed each about 85%. my plan after getting degree is to get in the PSu. And many other student qualify for GATE exam get there dream job to their PS use like DRDO SAIL and many others.

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.

The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.

The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
