My opinion about my college BIT SINDRI

Likes

The first thing that I like the most is the campus that is very lush green and brings you close to the nature.
The second thing that I liked the most the course curriculum that is very regular and easy for the student to adjust with the course
The third thing that I liked the most social interaction among the college batchmates and with seniors they are very friendly and very helpful to help us

Dislikes

The first thing that I dislike is the hostel mess facility,the quality of the food is not that much good.
The second that I don't like like the water and electricity facility and also the cleanliness in our hostel.
The third thing that I don't like is that there is no market outside our college due to which there is no source of entertainment for the college students.

Placement Experience:

The students in our college becomes eligible after 6th semester and after that campus placement starts in our college. There are various companies that visited in our college are TATA STEEL,JSW,JSL, VEDANTA,TCS,TATA MOTORS, SAMSUNG, YAMAHA etc. Out of 1200, 971 students got placed in decent companies. The highest package in our college campus is 13.75 lakhs by TATA STEEL and the average package of our college is 6 to 7 lakhs. The percentage of placed students is above 92. After getting the degree I go to work in automobile companies and get exposure of how automobile industry works.

An honest review of BIT SINDRI

Likes

Large campus area of 470 acres with lush green surroundings
Good faculty and staffs which are very co operative
A good senior junior interaction for better development

Dislikes

No availability of power supply 24/7 and regular power cuts
Old infrastructure and minimum food options to eat
Cleanliness and hygiene is compromised and no gym available

Placement Experience:

Students get eligible for placement from their 7th semester. Our placement percentage is almost hundred percent and we have average package of almost 8 lakh per annum. The companies are Tata Steel, JSL ,JSW and Vedanta they act as mass recruiters.

Likes

Faculties are well qualified in their field and cooperative
Placement opportunities are very good .many companies visits per year
Campus is fully greenery and beautiful.club interaction is one of the best thing here

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good the building was too old they need improvement
The college library closes after 5 pm so students can't manage time for library study
No alternative of electricity here in some hostel and sometimes there is an internet problem

Placement was really good in our college. Around 90 percent campus placement in our college .In 5 semester you will eligible for placement . There are many big companies like tata steel ,amazon ,TCS , Wipro visits for campus placement.average package was around 6 lakh

Likes

Large campus area and lush green campus.
Good average placement in core branches.
Supportive seniors and faculties and class timings

Dislikes

We have to walk more because of big campus area
No alternative of electricity in some hostels
Old infrastructure and no motorcycle allowed

Placement Experience:

In 3rd year many internship you can get in tata steel,jsl and other. For 7th semester you will be getting placement with average of 800000 per annum which is a very good placement in core branches and approx 1000000 in CSE and IT branch.

the amount of effort given by professors towards each of the students
BIT has a great heritage which provides students with excellent alumini support
it offers a great platform for student to develop both academic and soft skills

Dislikes

lack of exposure which restricts BIT to just jharkhand
sudden increase of students which might affect placements in long term
BIT Sindri is not well connected to city

due to the great heritage of BIT Sindri the placements are going on quite well. many companies like larsen and turbo, aditya birla group, tata group, are some of the major recruiters that come to BIT Sindri

It gives us opportunity to grow and work for the welfare of the country
The teacher and student friendly interaction
This college provides ragging free environment

Dislikes

The number of holidays in this college is very high
The environment for research is not much satisfying
The machines in laboratory are too old and defective

Placement Experience:

The campus placements for core branches like electrical engineering mechanical engineering etc . Are superb in which around 80-90 percent of the students gets placed . Last two year 100 percent student got placed from electrical and mechanical branch. But this college lags in giving placement to the Computer science and it branch students

attendence is not that important, you can focus on your self.
time for yourself and many clubs for overall development
nothing nearby to get distracted from your studies.

Dislikes

insfrastructure needs to be improved urgently.
markets and hospitals should be nearby for help.
more practical knowledge should be applied so that students can understand easily.

Placement Experience:

the placements in college is ok ok and thanks to training and placement officer and training and placement cell members.and also our alumni who support us a lot. placement depend on the skills of the student and there is also some luck fator and also you should maintain your scores.

since 7th semester students are elifgible for campus placement ,the highest package was of IT and it was 75LPA and 95% students get placed , i plan to pursue UPSC and maybe im already in the exploring phase..

I really liked the academic support environment here , having really supportive professors and not to mention our Career Developement Centre which pushes one's capabilities and helping them grab internships and placements.
You cannot miss on the return of investment thing when talking about BIT Sindri, you get a minimum 250% ROI here. The college is too affordable and hence becomes a great highlight for students opting for this college.
You get a really green lush and peaceful college having 450 acres of area. Everything is so spacious here .

Dislikes

You might dislike the infrastructure at first thinking they look like old themed buildings and hostels, but a lot of new state of art infrastructure is being made currently like new hostels, sports complex,auditorium and student activity centre.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from their sixth semester. From the latest 2023-24 placement data more than 50 companies like Vedanda Resources, ITC, Samsung, Yamaha Motors, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Tata Power, Aditya Birla Group, Adani Group, L&T etc. came for placement drive and offered more than 520 offers to students and its increasing tremendously year by year. The highest package offered on campus was 16lpa by Vedanta Resources and average package of batch stood at 7.57 lpa. The top ten percent of the class recieved an average package of 13lpa and average package of top twenty five percent stood at 9.30lpa . The percentage of students placed in whole batch was 82.20% . My plans are not very fixed as I will be exploring different fields which lie upon my interest.

The Professor at BIT Sindri are very much experienced and the institute has a very good engineering infra
The Clubs Provide immese Personality Development And Enhancement Opportunity
The Batchmates and the peer group in bir is awesome

Dislikes

Ragging Culture is Too Much here , Seniors are to be heavily respected
The Prof. Donot listen To Ragging Complains and React On it
Infra of Many Hostel Has become Quite Old

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.

The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.

The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
