BIT Sindri, A life one can imagine of.

Likes

Our college is filled with greenery. Our campus is very beautiful. The campus of this college comprisers of 400 acres of land. It is a lush green campus . There is a cafeteria and Nescafe in our college. The campus life is quite moderate
The hostels built here are quite average but still they are very spacious.

Dislikes

More infrastructure can be established here. All the infrastructures are very old and needs maintenance. Also the administration here is not very good it needs maintenance and a proper structure.

Placement Experience:

Our college offers almost 100 percent placement with average package of 7-9 lakhs. If someone does not gets placed during in campus placement session, then they have to apply for their respective companies off campus. In this time out settled alumnis will help them. The core branches get a lot of placements around 100% while the technical branches suffer in placements they are not a lot of companies that visit a college from technical branches but for branches there a lot of companies like Vedanta Tata Steel Jindal power etc.

Likes

Fees is very affordable than any other college
Infrastructure is also very decent with very huge area.
Professors are very well educated and talented and helpful also

Dislikes

There are many restrictions for first year by seniors
College is very huge but it is not cleaned properly.
College is situated far away from main city

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester students are eligible for campus placement. 60 companies visited our college campus last year and they gave 1100 offers. Highest package offered was 50lpa from DeShaw Group and average package is 8LPA My plans after getting the degree is to pursue master's Percentage of students who got job was 88%

Real and honest facts about BIT SINDRI

Likes

I like the course fee structure it is very affordable that is only 7500 yearly.
I like the placement scenario specially for core branches and the internship opportunities in Tata Steel and other core companies like JSW and Jindal.
Classes are not mandatory due to which we have we have extra time to look into other courses and explore more things.

Dislikes

Structure and buildings are really old and I really don't like the classrooms.
Mess food qualities not up to the standard and taste is not good.
I don't like the rules of wearing formal especially in 1st year.

The placement scenario of our college is really good specially for core branches .we get good packages from 8 to 14 lakh in companies like Tata Steel Jindal and jsw .The criteria for getting jobs are that you should not have any active back in any subject. The placement starts from 7th semester. Around 80% students gets placed.

Well first thing and like about his college is Its campus BIT sindri has a campus area of 400 acres and is a lush green campus
The second thing I like about this college is its fee structure which is very low and anyone who is good in academic but doesn't have a good financial baground can easily apply for this college.
The other thing that I like about this college is the senior junior interaction which is very healthy any kind of academic a career related opportunities.

Dislikes

When I first visit this college for admission the one thing that I disliked was the infrastructure . The infrastructure here is quite old specially some of the main buildings.
The other thing that I dislike about this college is its administration the administration in the college is very poor most of the things are not arranged and scheduled improperly.
The other thing I dislike about this college is the ill maintenance of the labs of this college most of the equipments are very old broken or not maintained

Placement Experience:

The placement in this college are quite appreciable specially for the core branches like mechanical, electrical , metal this branches are offered around 100% placement with an average placement of 7 to 8 LPA . The tech branches hair lag behind in placement due to the areas specific of this college . This college is present in the outskirts of Dhanbad and so big tech companies are unable to reach this college still companies like TCS and Samsung higher technical students from the scholars like computer science electronics and communication information technology and electrical. The overall average package of this college is around 6 lpa which is quite appreciable with respect to the fees they taking. Many students here prepare for government examination like GATE, Cat , IES and other. The highest package of this college is around 50 lpa while lowest package here is around 3 to 4 lpa the companies that visit this college are Tata Steel ,Vedanta, TCS , JSW , JSL etc.

Likes

Top recruits companies come every year like tata steel , cognizant
Some seniors provide very good guidance if asked for and try their best for help
There are many clubs for entertainment and it will enhance your skills

Dislikes

There is some power issue sometimes in old hostels

In one semester there is two mid term examination of 10 marks . And one semester examination of 70 marks .10 marks is for internal which includes your attendance, project, assignment. Frequency of exam is not fixed . Not much difficulty level of exam

Insides of BIT SINDRI

Likes

Library is the most lovable thing with about 2 lakh books.
Labs here are very well maintained for circuit branch.
Clubs are very good for social engagement and PR connections.

Dislikes

Main food qualities very poor and sometimes we get worms.
Playgrounds are not maintained at all and there are lot of cattles roaming around.
Hostels are very old and cleaning facilities are poor.

Placement of ECE branches is not good. approximately 70% of student gets placed here and 30% don't and approximately 5 to 6% clear get exam for higher education. Average package is about 750000. TCS Wipro and Infosys are companies for ECE.

Overview of BIT SINDRI

Likes

Fee is very low about 70000 per year and 32 for SC/st.
We have a good central library with availability of every book related to our academics.
We have three sports ground and sports event are very good.

Dislikes

Main food quality is very degraded and private mess.
College is in outskirt and no transportation.
There is no gym and common room facility in hostel.

Placement of the college is about 8 lacs. About average student gets place there if you are having any active that then you will be facing some problems in placement drive. Very good college in Dhanbad

Likes

The college campus is very green pure oxygen is available
Pollution is very less and clean infrastructure is very good
The seniors are very cooperative and friendly.

Dislikes

Class timing is very hectic and lots of assignment is given to students
Transportation facilities are little bit poor
Moble network is very weak in hostels room

College placement is very good with average package about 8 lakh.
It is well connected to the nearest railway station.
It has a very big campus of four fifty acres with greenery.

Dislikes

My college campus is open, so any outsider can enter without permission.
It is in outskirts and very poor infrastructure.
Hostel facilities are also not up to the mark, and mess food is also of low quality

From what I’ve heard from my friend who is currently a student of BIT Sindri, there is ample time for students to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc.

The area of the campus is about 400 acres. BIT Sindri is a good engineering college and is located in the town of Sindri which is 25km from the city of Dhanbad.
BIT Sindri has a total of 26 hostels for boys and girls. The different departments of the college are allotted their own buildings for their classes and activities.
There is an auditorium on the campus. There have been some reports of ragging, though, in the first and second years.
The best departments in the institute by far are mining and metal because of good placements.
Lately, a number of good companies are visiting the campus so the statistics of placements are improving by the day. The average CTC has been recorded to be 4.51 LPA while the highest salary is 10.12 LPA.

The institute also holds an enviable rank amongst other engineering institutes of Jharkhand.
