- Library is the most lovable thing with about 2 lakh books.
- Labs here are very well maintained for circuit branch.
- Clubs are very good for social engagement and PR connections.
Dislikes
- Main food qualities very poor and sometimes we get worms.
- Playgrounds are not maintained at all and there are lot of cattles roaming around.
- Hostels are very old and cleaning facilities are poor.
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally choose electronics and communication engineering because I was getting it according to my JEE mains percentile. I am a native of Jharkhand state so 100% reservation is applicable in BIT sindri. THE CURRICULUM IS BASED ON LABS AND EXPERIMENT. Frequency of exam is not as per calendar but you will get a notice before one week.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities for first and second years is very less given by the college but in 3rd years there is a lot of opportunities internship available. A lot of companies come to the college and offers approximately 50000 to 70000 per internship such as ITC,hitachi,etc
Placement Experience
Placement of ECE branches is not good. approximately 70% of student gets placed here and 30% don't and approximately 5 to 6% clear get exam for higher education. Average package is about 750000. TCS Wipro and Infosys are companies for ECE.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid about 75000 yearly in my first year which includes hostel fee electricity fee Mess fee and institution fee. Institution fees about 7600. Student fund fees about 7500. Mess is 4000 per month. Electricity fees 2500 and hostel maintenance fees 7000. For reserve category institution fees about 32 rupees.
Campus Life
College societies are good and up to the mark and we are well engaged in different aspects of life to know about communication skills. Libraries well enough capable for every kind of books. Sports and other curriculum activities are not up to the marks because very less events are organised by college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is the one of the worst experience in my college life. There are frequent power cuts with no alternative of electricity. Main food quality is very bad. Cleanliness is the very bad issue here. Toilets and bathrooms are not cleaned regularly. We live four person in a room with only a broken fan.
Admission
I choose this college because I was getting this only under my percentile in JEE mains. This college has a good return of investment in comparison to other private colleges. Placement of BIT sindri is far better with the average package of about 750000. You have to score a minimum of 85% tile to get into this college for unreserved and for reserved category it is about 65 to 70% ile.
Faculty
Difficulty to student ratio is about 1/60.Relationship between student and faculty is it's good but not as good as it should be. 2 midsems is compulsory and one end some. Approximately 20% of class students fail the exams. Exam difficulty level is a little bit hard. All faculty members are PhD holders.
Night Life
There is no gym for boys and college and for girls there is one gym with is very new. Hostel closing timing is about 10 to 11 p.m. for boys and for girls it is 7:30 to 8:00 .there is no such hangout place other than cafeteria and Nescafe.
