- Being a state govt college it doesnt recieve funds properly as a result the campus is not maintained very nicely as it should be though it the campus size is enormous.
- The mess food is not up to the mark and doesnt taste very well
- The infrastructure is very old and is not being maintained
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus here is very comprehensive and not very vast the topics are covered by the teacher in the given time frame. Being very accurate to the respective branches. The academics trains us enough to grab internship opportunities.
Internships Opportunities
The scope for internships is greatly available in the core branches especially metallurgy. Its mandatory for the students of 2nd year to do internships thats provided by the college during the internship seasons.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college overall is very cheap if you are considering to pursue btech , so that makes the roi of this college is very good. The total annual acedemic expence is 20k in round figures. The Annual hostel+electricity fee is 10k and finally the total annual hostel food cost is 50k . So Finally in one year 80k is spend. For 4 years that will be around be 3.2 lacs. The fees is likely not to change significantly in future.
Campus Life
The campus is very large and spans upto 480acres even bigger than many nits but the maintainace is not up to the mark and fails in the standard. New hostel has been built and the infrastructure of these 3 new hostels are very updated and much much better compared to the older ones.. So the standard have been improved and is constantly improving
Hostel Facilities
Since the new student have got the previlege to accomodate newly build hostels , as a result the life and experience is very good. The standard of the infrastructre of these hostel can easyly be compares to Nits or in some case even better
Admission
I chose this college over other colleges that I was getting was because of Roi and the fact that this college was a government college . The other options that I had was only Bit meshra so compared to it I understood that BIT sindri would be a better choice because of its low fees requirement. The requirement to get into this college is that you need to be a resident of Jharkhand state (Local will also work).
Faculty
The professors are very conscious about the students performance and attendance also cover the syllabus in time. The college is affiliated to JUT as a result it follows the callendar released by it. The semester exams for the 1st sem is taken in the format as follows- mid sem 1 + mid sem 2 + end sem . These 3 exams conclude the first sem and same goes for the second sem.
Interview Experience
No there was no such process for the undertaking of the admission process. The process was simple and was comducted by JCECEB. The student that gave the JEE exam had to participate in the JCECEB councelling and seats were alloted to them on the basis of their mains rank.
Night Life
There this rule in which it allows us to go outside but also comeback before 10 pm. There usually nothing going on oustide or inside the campus. Specially the mood for hanging out and eating junk sets during this time.
