Likes

Library, wifi, friendly faculty, friendly seniors, sports facilities, food court is costly but the taste is just awesome.
Like faculties are good enough like ratio is very good.
Placements have been really amazing and then the average package is 6 lakhs and highest was 42 lakhs this year.

Dislikes

Boys hostel though is somewhat good , but the capacity is very less so most of the boys have to get in pgs which are very bad .
I don't like the food in our canteen which doesn't taste good.
It is somewhat in the middle , some teachers are really good while others will just waste your time in the class and feel very annoying as they dont proide any value to your life .

All about BMSIT

Likes

Campus is full of environmental greenery, You will feel exceptional while entering the college.
Faculties are also good, Specially CSE related faculties are good and they are supportive.
Competitive nature of student is a thing which attracts me to join this college. And this college has decent placement overall.

Dislikes

College campus is not so big, only 25 acre area. these 25 acre also include hostel, so ultimately you will get small campus.
College hostel has very limited seats. You have to move outside for living, may be for pg or flat.
This college has weird fee structures for students, Some students are paying in lacs, some are paying in thousands and even some are paying in hundreds.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good of this college. 180 companies visited this year and approx 750 offers are provided to the studentsof college. The average package of 2024 is 7.9lac which is quite good. College has one of the best placement cell and till last round of placement approx every students gets placed so this is the happier side of the college. But one of the sad fact is more number of students get into mass recruitment and only few students get creamy packages.

Review of BMSIT

Likes

College provides great internship oppurtunities and placements.They have a great alumni base and the placement coordinators have good connections with companies.They conduct special traing sessions for placements to make the students well prepared.
The campus of college is really good.It's full of greenery with many good spots to chill out in the campus.kapee kuteera is the best place to chill out in the campus.there is also an indian bank branch in the college for the ease of students
the college is situated out of the main banglore city so it is out of the chaos of city.you can easily get pg and flats near the college at affordable price.Isckon temple banglore is at a okayish type if distance so yiu can go there if you want.

Dislikes

college have a very strict attendance criteria of 85 percentage which is too much annoying.college faculties are not that much focused towards your placement.college do not conduct very good or big kind of fests so it may disappoint you
college has a small playground which might disappoint you.library timings are kind of too much constrained.you cannot roam in the campus at night and canteens are also not open in night
college do not have great clubs.Their fests are not upto the mark you can't enjoy too much in fests because they are not upto the mark.College do not have proper place to condut fests.They have a place which they call as amphitheater that is worst

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester you will be eligible for placements. 181 companies visited and 772 job offers. The highest package for 2024 is 26.4 lpa and the median is 6lpa while the average is 7.9lpa. total of 93.4 percent of students placed in B E. i will do a job after getting a degree

Review of BMSIT&M by an ISE first year student

Likes

I like how the professors at BMSIT are really good at teaching.They know thier stuff and make interesting.They are open for doubts all the time. They are also friendly and easy to talk to. They are highly qualified.
BMSIT offers exciting oppurtunities like hackathons and internship. Every month college do 2-3 college level hackathons. The internship stats are really good. Out of 780 students around 650 got internship.
The Campus is good and around 25 acre. The infrastructure of college is good and they are building a new block that is very big and have all facilities from canteen,sports to lab.

Dislikes

We do not have good infrastructure for sports. The college ground is short and is not maintained. The college gym is overcrowded and does not have good equipments and is not maintained well.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd Semester end ,students are eligible for campus placements.Many MNC visited our college like microsoft and goldman sach. Phonepe made 6 offers for more than 20 LPA. The Highest Package in 2023 was 46 LPA and average package in ISE was 9.55 LPA. Around 95% students got placed. In 2023 1100+ offers made for 780 students .

A Detailed Review of BMSIT&M by a first year ISE student.

Likes

The college has a campus size of 25 acres which is inclusive of the architecture college BMSCA ( BMS college of architecture). the engineering college BMSIT has an area lesser thsn 25 acres. The campus is lush green with lots of trees and greenery...
The campus offers a good and fresh environment for students that has the capability of refreshing minds.
The college offers good placement opportunities as compare to the other COMED k colleges.

Dislikes

The college although has an increasingly good placement record but has to go a long way to attract talented students to study here.
The sports facilities of the college are just bad. The ground is very small and not maintained well.
The attendance policy of the college is bad for students who want to spend time to improve their extracurricular skills or prepare for some other examinations

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course relevency is almost on point. The main focus is on getting the students industry ready. The curriculum in the Information Science and Engineering department is focussed on improving the coding skills and logical thinking related to the branch.

All the pros and cons about BMSITM

Likes

The College campus is lush green and it is in the outer side of bangalore so there is less pollution . The college do care about its students and help them for their overall developement . Also it is ranked among top 5 colleges of bangalore .
Due to the quiet location of this college you can really focus on your skills and do your overall personality development . Also comparatively there is less distractions for students so they can study properly .
The student intake is optimal so the college management cares to listen about the students and you dont feel left out . Also mos of the teachers are well qualified so academics will not be that big of a problem .

Dislikes

Sometimes to go to some events and main city it takes a lot of time as the college location is somewhat remote . Also college does not provide guidance on how to travel in public transport as there is some language barriers among students .
The 85 % attendance criteria is very hectic . Students get detained if they dont maintain minimum 85 % attendance . Some teachers are also very strict regarding attendance . College hours are also moe like 8 hours so you will get less time to study
Library is also closed on holidays and some of the teachers are not upto the mark they just read presentation slides . Also the events and fests are not upto the mark . It feels more like a school annual function .

Placement Experience:

Placements were quie good in 2022 but there is a dip in year 2023 the highest package went down from 45 to 26 lpa and the average also went down . Companies like Ola AMAZON WEB SERVICE , ATLASSIAN do visit the campus and if uou are among top 10 % students you can grab a good placement .

Just BMSIT

Likes

Faculty are well good and experienced. They teaches us before the exam due time without pendings. And they are friendly to us even. We have some areas like kuteera and food court to get chill over there. Its just like a food canteen. Thats it.
We have one college system. Which is called as Proctoring session. This is an interactive session between students and teacher. So we have a Proctor we can discuss about the issues related with college or faculty or anything.

I have no plans until now. I will plan it accordingly since I am still in my second semester. Obviously everyone's final step is do a xyz job in xyz company. So i think my seniors got good package. We have placement training classes also.

Review of BMSIT after 4 months into college

Likes

huge campus along with lush green environment
which campus with good speed and well maintained class rooms
good faculty with good students to teacher ratio

Dislikes

attendence policy should be relaxed to 75%
some faculty are student specific and fest culture should be improvised
college is far from the city but near to the airport

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BMSIT curriculum is industry ready which made me take this course and it has a real time machine lab and teachers involvement is very nice which helps in the interaction process with the students. areas of improvement include the time given in between the exam and conducting of 1st sem exams.

College of dreams!

Likes

Eco friendly, student friendly and peaceful.
Teaching, management and teachers are very caring.
It's very good to hangout and do timepass with friends.

Dislikes

Attendance and academics is very strict.
Sports facilities and cultural activities could be better.
It is very far from the city and difficult to travel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Department of mechanical engineering provides very good experience. Placements, teaching and practicality is top notch. The one who wants the best mechanical engineering college in Bangalore can blindly choose the college.

Likes

The exposure,wide variety of students from different parts of he country
The location of the college,greenary,etc
Good set of standard shown by the students

Dislikes

no updation of syllabus,no real time application of the topics taught
Labs are not taught properly , expecting to learn all the progs for exams is unaccecptable
Casual failing of the students in the labs, Strict internal exam correction

Placement Experience:

The placements preperation starts from 5th sem.Multiple aptitude and reasoning including coding tests are given. The placement rate by the students has been reduded this year.The highest package given was from amazon
