Candidates participated in the All India PG Entrance Exam, where their national ranks were converted to Karnataka ranks for counseling purposes. Counseling sessions were conducted based on these ranks, allowing candidates to fill their seat preferences. Seats were allocated according to preferences, with some candidates accepting their seats and others relinquishing them. This process involved three rounds of counseling. The college faculty are dedicated and respected, conducting weekly seminars, although postgraduate students are expected to learn independently with limited formal class instruction.
The college charges high fees and requires repayment of the stipend given during the first three years, which is approximately 45,000 INR per month as per government instructions. There are concerns about potential repercussions for raising issues, with a hope that future students will not have to repay their stipends. The college does not offer a formal placement process, leaving graduates responsible for finding jobs or pursuing further studies on their own.
Many students take out loans from corporate banks, to be repaid in installments after graduation.
